Yeah 3 times over the limit and twice the speed limit. Its as good a reason why car accidents occur and tragic as it was a much more likely reason than Prince Phil giving the order.
did the floyd play skyline?? i know hendrix did.. i was told they played cott civic or the lawns [whatever that was]
1967-06-09 - Pink Floyd - Student Union, College of Commerce - Hull, England 1967-09-28 - Pink Floyd - Skyline Club - Hull, England I wish I'd been around for the Hendrix gig, the support was The Small Faces.
There's someone releasing a book saying that they've solved the Black Dahlia murder. Taken a bit of bloody time there, love. What was the hold up?
Yeah. Told me out of side of the mouth whilst the eyes went from side to side. Last thing i was told was " you aint seen me. Right?"
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ter-got-tip-25-minutes-JFK-assassination.html I always thought there was something fishy about that place.
Ye just read an article in the mail. Seems they knew all along but corruption in the LA pd let him get away.

You would have been disappointed. The Small Faces, who were a headline act then, appeared at the Skyline but not on the bill with Hendrix.
They did according to the Jimi Hendrix OWS... March 9, 1967 Live Performance The Jimi Hendrix Experience perform at the Skyline Ballroom in Hull, Yorkshire with support from Family, The Small Faces, The Strollers and The Mandrakes.
It is a misprint or a misunderstanding. It was a local band The Small Four. Don't believe everything, you read on the internet. please log in to view this image Still good value at 62p. I was talking to one of the Mandrakes at Scarborough Tech the day after. Hendrix autographed the Telecaster of one of the guitarists. Who later rubbed it off and then traded it in. He made an appeal to try and trace it when the old band members got together for a memorial concert in memory of Robert Palmer. Hendrix was impressed with the Mandrakes, asking their lead guitarist if he fancied playing on his next album. At the time hecwas better than Mick Ronson, or more accurately, capable of playing a wider range. But within a year and a half of this concert he packed it all in. Someone I went to school with replaced him. When my son decided he wanted to play a guitar in the mid 1990s I took him to buy one. Got chatting to the shop owner, who was from Scarborough, who was also a guitar teacher. Got chatting about guitarists and I mentioned I always rated Pete Liley of the Mandrakes. He said a couple of years earlier there had been a night in Scarborough featuring all the local young bands and the compere had recognised Pete Liley and asked him to do a number. He protested he hadn't played for years. The compere kept on so he asked a lad nextbto the shop owner if he could bortow his guitarand got up on a stage. After a couple of numbers the young lad turned to themshopkeeper and said after hearing what he could get out of his guitar hecwas thinking of giving up.
That will have surprised people at the Bolton Odeon who thought they were watching The Small Faces supporting Roy Orbison along with Jeff Beck. A hard choice of which would have been better.
Speaking of conspiracies, there's a new one which has cropped up surrounding the Kennedy assassination. Yes, a new one from an event 54 years ago. Yesterday presented the US government with a deadline to release the secret files surrounding the subsequent investigations. The deadline was established by legislation 25 years ago. Most of the documentation is being held up by various government agencies, but what was released yesterday is getting scrutinized by every Tom, Dick, and Harry with a pet conspiracy theory. The new one comes from the revelation that a British journalist was tipped off by an anonymous phone call about half an hour before the assassination that something big was about to happen in the USA. Now some think English communists might have been behind it. Here we go again.
