scotland are 29th

and of course france your favorites are down to 22... thats fairly low for a country pretending to be good.

spain are down to 12th so their fall from grace continues.

lesson is win your games and stop playing marquee friendlies to make cash

Assuming you care about the rankings.

ranking determines seedings.

NI climbing up means they will be seeded higher in WC.

A top 10 slot means wlaes might be 2nd seeds in WC group stage draw if they hold together in the qualies for euros and euros themselves.

i just find that whether you are a club or country you need the same attitude.

Every game is an opportunity. players who think they are not important are not wanted.

If LFc are in europa... win every group game. Collect the points. go as far as you can in it. collect the points. Build the squad up with an eye on CL. trhowing the comp is small minded.

Friendlies in internationals are not grea tpoints but collect them. 0-0 with 11 subs is no good to you. then beat up the small teams. be unbreaten.

next thing you know there you are in place to acheive what you want to.

Of course having gareth bale does help quite a bit not to mention the bearded wonder.

I actually read somewhere that they are already guaranteed a top seed for WC20018 qualifying with the draw in the next few months. So in that respect it is massive for them n will give them a much better chance to qualify

dunno if it will go that far as i remember scotland doing the same then falling apart in second half of group but It would be nice if they did. It would make a huge difference to qualification for sure.

Double jeopardy for the sheep in Wales atm with the Aussies about for the test.
