Whilst I have a wry smile at talk of the play offs, our recent turn of form is really encouraging. Definitely made our house a happier one over Crimbo and without getting carried away long may it continue. The old sceptic in me however keeps nagging away,he wants us to be safe first and then take it from there but for now, let’s all enjoy the ride and see what 2019 brings.

Aye four more wins and we are safe.

Said from the start he was a good manager and, being realistic, we were lucky to have him. Could never understand the critiscism, including of his positivity. I know, clever twat, but there you go

Some here put huge importance in the interviews after games, like you get extra points for them, I never really understand why.

I think it was more to do with the way he was obviously trying to jump into Leo's seat before he even got sacked and his annoying press conferences that get up many peoples noses.

As far as the coaching side goes, he was probably as good as we could get under the circumstances at that time.

The Allams were the ones in charge of handling the changeover between managers. It felt like Slutsky was more popular here among most though there wasn't that much reason for that than maybe he just seemed different to people than the normal English football manager and he'd managed the Russian team. Adkins being more experienced in this country somehow had less leeway with people.
