Arsenal and Newcastle have been fined £30,000 each for failure to control their players. I can think of three scenarios to explain this:

1. The FA think the game was played on the Xbox
2. Technology has moved on more than I thought and you can now buy remote controls to control players from the touchline – could have some fun with one of those.
3. They have trainers on the touchline that control players by voice commands e.g. Barton!! Sit!! – That’s a good boy. Now roll over……

A 30k fine is chicken feed to most PL clubs mate so no deterrent whatsoever, with you on controlling the players mind the fourth official would probably report the managers for going out of their technical areas.

I always think it's ludicrous when clubs get charged with this one.

The day human beings don't react in a passionate game to things like a team mate being clattered, diving etc, then the game is ****ed.

This is a charge that proves the people running OUR game, haven't got a ****ing clue about it.

Not defending the Mags (or Arsenal), i'm sure we got charged with this nonsense last season?

Pathetic.

'You are charged with having your players care too much about a game that effects millions of lives every single day'.

Seriously?

It's the FA mate they don't have a clue about the game as they are all small business men or government lackies, fine the players involved (Barton and Gervinho) a months salary then that will soon stop the hassle. Think even Barton would think twice if he was going to lose a months money everytime.

Not defending either team but I can't see what clubs can do when the players are on the pitch. I thought the ref was in charge of controlling the players on the pitch - perhaps they should fine the ref!

Song's stamp too dont forget, but yeah pretty pathetic really. I dont really understand the point, 30,000 quid, reviews, time spent looking at it, seems a total waste of time really, maybe because it was on TV because i dont think this fine would have happened to a none televised game
