Said it on the other thread but may as well put in here as well.

I wonder if Rohl being unemployed means the boards patience with Still will be a lot shorter? Rohl clearly our first choice in the summer and now he’s a free agent would be easy to appoint if needs be.

Question now is more would he be interested? We are a much different proposition to what we were back in May/June; and not a better proposition at all

Yeah he’d be interested. He took on Wednesday when they had **** all and were bottom.

(Though frankly it’s a pointless conversation to be having yet).

Well this was my contribution on the match thread.

I'm not usually knee jerk, and we all know it's frustrating being a Saints fan for the most part, but **** it if he is ****, bin him off and get Rohl in. We've had enough of this ****. I think the team is there.

Prob too early but christ this is testing.

Yeah I’m not saying sack Still right now, just it’s interesting that the guy we allegedly were after for 6 months or whatever it was is unemployed, and likely won’t be if we are in a position where we are sacking Still around Xmas.

I don’t think it’s a given he will be interested at all. Sure he took the Wednesday job a couple years ago but his stock has risen since then, and we are a different proposition to when we approached him before.

I think he’d be very interested. He went back to Wednesday when nobody expected him too, albeit not for long and now he’s out of a job when he’s probably keen to get some momentum going again. I’d say if Will loses the next 4 he’ll surely be gone? - the board has reacted far too late with sackings in the past & I’m sure they won’t want a repeat of that, especially with their supposedly no.1 target available as you say

I’m not for him to go and the excuse for him the longest time has been “he needs players” well he’s got players so now I expect a steady progression from this point. If in the next 3 games there isn’t clear progression then I feel like he will deserve a bit more stick. Yet again unfortunately he’s at the mercy of SRs recruitment strategy of sign everyone the last week of the window so they have no pres season or time to properly gel.

So even if they are players they want he has no time with them before having to throw them in just hope it works.

If we do change managers please please please can we not try and be hip and trendy. Let’s appoint someone with championship experience, a steady hand.

It's probably why, subconsciously, I'm not "Still Out". By which I mean, I don't trust SR at all to find a decent replacement. They've had enough chances.

I said in the summer that this was their final chance with me. They either get the appointment of Still right (which it might yet be), or they go. And I'm right on the brink now of being a fully paid up member of "SR Out".
