I never did gigs when I was younger, but so far have been to Jacquie Abbott and Paul Heaton, The Beat, Dennis Locorriere, and Deacon Blue in recent years
Haven’t got any more planned

Macy Gray at Ronnie Scotts jazz club next month, then the following night seeing The Australian Pink Floyd who are fantastic.
Going to see Prism the PF tribute band soon but I don't think they will be as good as the Shields based Shine On who are fantastic (great chick singers too).

What did you think of Deacon Blue ? I have wanted to see them for years and finally got to see them at the city hall early this year I think it was, me and the wife went and had been looking forward to it for ages. We wish we hadnt bothered, there set was all over the place and they played some new stuff which we just didnt enjoy. I would have expected them to start with a classic then some of their new stuff and finish with all the classics. It didnt pan out that way and we left early. May have just been us but they didnt deliver what we expected.

my problem is i find it hard to get 'into' any bands now, still prefer my 70's stuff and unfortunately all the band members have reached a stage where they simply cannot play any more or they have left us for the great gig in the sky.

plus, i never see a band the same once certain members have left, for instance 'uriah heep' have one original member now i think, sabbath to me were no longer sabbath when ozzy left...i realise bands change through the years and i have probably missed some amazing concerts.

Love local tribute bands - Arthur Ramm (ex-Beckett) can still get a fab tune out of his Les Paul!

Im similar mate, just can't seem to get into any modern music enough to want and go see anyone.

Seen Sabbath on The End tour at Leeds, 2017, absolutely brilliant.
Bill Ward wasn't on drums, but Ozzy, Tony and Geezer was a "near enough" for me.
Went to see UFO and a few days later Paul Raymond died.....seems that's the way its going for the bands I listen to.
Scorpions still tour, but never play the UK anymore. Iron Maiden aren't even playing Newcastle on their 2023 tour, so having to go down to Leeds.

Same here mate, slightly disappointed if I’m honest but went with a group of lads and was pissed…. And I just love Lorraine. They did play some classic stuff last and for the encore.

Saw Uriah Heep at Glasgow in September on their 50th Anniversary Tour.

They were amazing.

Also saw The Killers at the Emirate’s in June, and Elbow in Edinburgh before that, with the latter being superb at the superbly acoustic Usher Hall.
Nothing on the horizon, but desperate for The CULT to return to the U.K.

I was at that gig in Newcastle

Would love to see Scorpions one more time as they were on of the first I ever saw

When I saw them on the first couple of tours they were really good live. Raintown is still such a good debut album
