No mate. Glynn's a seriously scary ****er if you don't know him. 6'4" and really rangy. He used to do doors in Liverpool. He also has a mate (remember the one that shot the duckling from the barge) who was in the SAS and was a 'shooter' as in the film. He used to suddenlt disappear and come back 8 weeks having acquired and dealt with 'the target'

No mate. Glynn's a seriously scary ****er if you don't know him. 6'4" and really rangy. He used to do doors in Liverpool. He also has a mate (remember the one that shot the duckling from the barge) who was in the SAS and was a 'shooter' as in the film. That's all fair enough but they won't be there to hold your hand all the time and unless 'Bob the Builder' knows all this, it's not going to make the impact you think.
i agree with tobes and gerrez, think this would cause more hassle than its worth.
maybe just meet up for a drink and make sure he is aware you are mates with him and know what he will have to deal with if he wants to be an arse, but having a word i don't think is the way to go personally, he can get the message just by seeing you sat down drinking together.
