So we're defo going fall I feel, only the severity is at question. We need a thread with odds and a poll.
It says something about RHC that he's not been online for two-and-a-half workdays and we have a genuine concern that he's injured himself.
He's still partying after enjoying the Canadian Grand Prix on Sunday and after watching the sexy French footballers last night
It says it all that he is so loved! the he will injure himself part is beside the point. I'm confident if i vanished none of you lot would care and most would feel relieved
Cant wait to hear what songs were put on the jukebox this weekend, come on @Red Hadron Collider, dont keep us all in suspense
do you like my bad seplling most or is it the spreadsheets. the everton lads miss astro's graphs a LOT
I'm ****ing touched I've had a great four days. Went down to my mate's in London on Saturday afternoon after half a dozen in the Cheese. We watched the final on Saturday night whilst emptying his lager fridge and getting through half a dozen spliffs. On the Sunday, he drove up to Ally Pally and we had a couple of scoops there. He then drove back and dropped me at a pub on Hornsey high street while he took the car home. We'd been there before and new there was a jazz jam session on a Sunday afternoon. Some great players too. One of the barmaids was a Scouser and when I asked her what part, it was Anfield (Breck Road). Her Dad was born on Scotty. She was a ****ing blues ****e but alright despite that. On the Monday morning, I had a client meeting with the CEO of a start-up medical device company that has a technology for addressing liver damage (the founder was the guy I mentioned somewhere who was the central figure in a recent edition of Horizon). It's amazing technology if they go the distance. Very disruptive. I then went to a pub opposite Gloucester Road tube. £5 a ****ing pint for Beck's Vier (no bastard Carling).Fish and chips was £14.50 FFS I got chatting to a Cockerney outside who was a really nice guy. He was a painter & decorator on his lunch break. He never went back We had a great sesh. I managed to negotiate my way back to my mate's. We had a fairly quiet night on the Monday and then I had another client meeting in Ely (Littleport) the following afternoon. I ended up in the Royal George at Euston eventually to kill time before the 7.30 pm train back to Wire. It was pretty full and I was sitting at a high table watching the cricket. A guy came over and asked if I'd mind if he sat at the same table. I said I didn't, until he told me he was a ****ing Salfordian. I told him (jokingly) he'd better **** off, and we ended up having a natter. Turned out he wasn't into football, but loved cricket. I got round to telling him my old cricket captain was now CEO at the MCC. Talk about a small world. He asked me ig he was a really tall guy and i said he was. He'd met him at a cricket thing in Dubai earlier that year. Couldn't believe such a nice guy was in a position like that. Train home and a few in the Cheese rounded things off. Back in the office now PS I phoned Zingy while I was in London. He answered and then told me he was In Las Vegas. The call probably cost a ****ing fortune
