It's not true lads, just crappy rumours like "Barton in talks with Stoke".

If this is true I've lost all hope in Ashley.

It proves he's in to make a profit whatever the case (in this case, a player who's been captain for about a month)

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

****.

Why make him captain then flog him? Why not make someone captain who we plan to keep for at least this season?!

He won't be gone.

1). He's just been made our captain

2). Pardew has just said literally yesterday or the day before to the national press that fans don't have to worry because there will be no more players leaving. He even mentioned Tiote and Coloccini as two players who will lead us forward. There's no way Pardew would have shot himself in the foot like that if there was any possibility Coloccini would be off.

3). Why would he leave for lower wages when he still has two years here?

4). Why would he be sold the day before the first game of the season when he's said he likes it here and he's made no mention of wanting to leave?

2 years left, are you sure it's not just 1 year? I agree with what you're saying though. He means a lot to the team, is loved by the fans, is on fantastic wages and is captain.

He wont leave.
