I doubt Warnock will get anything like this sort of money anyway............. http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/12/1...s-at-stalemate-with-cardiff-city-backing-awa/
I'd be disappointed if we did spend that much. A big risk to take, would bust any wage structure and would sail close to the wind for FFP.
It's the sort of money (and more) we'd need to spend on players if we did go up but not before. Warnock would want half a dozen players for that sort of dosh to give a better chance of getting there, not just the one.
With the walking wounded getting up to fitness not sure we need him anyway. With Kadeem and Headley up and running it's like 2 new players also young Harris doing a great job for the U25s.
Given the way bogle has been going and ward off the bench, Ken and Healy will have to force their way into contention. Would a 'big name' striker destabilise things? Upsetting team morale wouldn't help us. Still think it's a left back and left wing we need for cover. Dalman suggested in his interview that Neil would only look for one possibly two signings. I'm sure he'll find the right ones. Let's leave it a few months before we start talking about which of the current squad are capable of playing in the big boys league. No doubt we'll need reinforcements if we go up but how many?
Ward has had a knee operation. We need Ken back asap. This squad has been immense with all the injuries but it cant continue all season. I was happy to leave things as they were. But 2 quality signings could make the difference. As far as the big boys league did anyone watch Everton v Swansea. Ok Everton have injuries but they were shocking. Our best 11 would deal with that line up with ease. As for Swansea they are utter garbage. The fact that they have 12 points shows that bar the top teams theres not much there. Our under strength team would see off Swansea with ease. Apart from Fabianski none of their players would get in our side. In fact none of them would get in most top 8 Championship sides. We could survive in the PL with our current squad if last night is anything to go by.
One of our biggest signings could be Colin. He's talking about a new deal. Interestingly he talked about players wanting to know how long a manager would be there (No guarantees on that one ). Does that suggest he has a January signing or two lined up on a permie basis and he wants them to know he'll be around into next season?
Another one for the rumour mill pot............. http://www.teamtalk.com/news/exclusive-cardiff-lead-ipswich-and-preston-for-scottish-defender
Another one we've looked at before.......... http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/12/2...target-amarii-bell-again-fleetwood-town-reje/
I'm sure he has something about him if Warnock is interested. A position I've said needs strengthening. At least it isn't a CB.
...and the revolving door rumours continue...... http://sportwitness.co.uk/champions...tar-replace-premier-league-linked-midfielder/
...and what about this then - would you take him back? http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/cardiff-set-spark-transfer-scramble-11761257
Do we need Jerome? I think not. Would I like to see him back? No, if memory serves me right, he’s not the type of player to track back and goes missing during a game.
Wages would be a problem. Watching Aussie footy a few days ago. They said McCormack is on his way back to the UK. Would prefer some fresh blood.
Former Bluebirds skipper Steven Caulker has left Queens Park Rangers. Is he going the same way as Darcy Blake ?
Remote - don't know if this was the game you watched but McCormack came on as a sub in the Melbourne derby last weekend - he was no great shakes. It was on live when I got up Saturday morning and thought I'd have a look for an hour streamed live. What a competitive game it was - Melbourne City and Melbourne Victory didn't take any prisoners but it was also bloody good football. I'll just mention this. It was 0-0 getting towards the end of the game and they were going at it hammer and tongs. I thought there is no way this is going to finish nil/nil! At 85 minutes gone, I looked at the odds for either to score - B365 were offering 11/4 - I just had to stick 20 quid on. 90 minutes normal time came and went, still 0-0 and about 7 minutes of extra time came up on the board - still in with a chance! Then in the 96th minute, Victory got a soft penalty awarded (really soft!) and in it went............75 quid back in the bin.....
That was the game. As you say, no great shakes. It was an entertaining match up. They very specifically said he was on his way back to the UK though. No links to a club (and I wouldn't really want him back) but quite definite.
