One other bright spark
Suggested they park
J. Barton in a player-manager role,
Now that seems to me
As highly risky
Like a shark patrolling a swimming pool. <laugh>

I was gonna pick up on that as well - is someone going to lend that fella a spade to dig a bigger hole for himself? <laugh>

To be fair to the man - I have just read his list of achievents as a Manager on the BBC website. I doubt if he will be out of a job for very long.

Missing the full version, but he lamely kicks out against one of Reading players

Are they really that impressive after 25 years in the game? Promotion to the Premier League just twice, with one team going straight back down and the other looking likely to be embroiled in a relegation scrap as well.

Sorry, but I'm not that impressed to be honest, a decent Championship manager out of his depth in the top flight <ok>

I didn't wish to suggest that he would get another Premiership Club but with 5 lower league promotions in addition to the 2 you mention I would have thought that quite a few Championship clubs, such as Coventry and Ipswich, would be interested if they sacked their Manager along with any medium sized Div 1 club such as Huddersfield if Lee Clark gets offered a better job.

Warnock or no Warnock you're still a bunch of cheating provincial bumpkins.

Good luck for the rest of the season <cheers>

Given the rumours about Joey Barton at Newcastle, and his influence on the team - I do wonder if the same thing might be behind this sacking.

If he had any failings, it certainly wasn't his choice of backroom staff!

As i heard that night after the game at loftus road a pundit said that a manger very rarely makes a triple substitution nowadays and hats off to him for such a bold move.

This is exactly why he will be one of the best to have graced this country as a manager!
