I can see why Altidore got it, he was all over the pitsh and set Borini up for the winning goal.

He did everything but score...........if Johnson had defended like Altidore we would not have conceded.

Its all about opinions and it is good fpr once to be talking about a few options for motm rather than scratching our heads for a candidate.
 
Tiote's been pretty average for a while now, not sure why. But Catts has something to prove and right now it's no contest.

for johnson to just stand and let him run on to score was plain awful,
 
why spin it around, just agree it was not good on his part was it , very poor , good cross for the goal agreed, never mind a win at last will give the old captain morgans a bashing now
 
And that is why he should be in midfield and not at Left back. Not the type to say I told you so but the way he's been dimissed as a midfielder on this forum. Well let that performance be a lesson to you. I rest my case.

Oh! OK, I'm spinning it round to not just take one mistake and make it the be all and end all.
Where as you are taking one mistake and ignoring all the good play he had.
Now which one of us is the spin doctor?

GP made some timesome substitutions today and they actually made the difference.

My pleasure ,3 points in the bag , yes until that basic error he played well ,lets hope we move on now , i must admit when i read the team sheet i feared the worst ,its a funny old game

Bri, he pleasantly surprised me today. Him and Altidore were outstanding.

Still, it's a bit to early for the 'I told you so' as I've seen Vaughan play well in centre mid. Now he needs to do it on a consistent basis.

He added all the guile and defensive grit he learnt at LB. The LB position has help his game immensely but I knew he could apply that to midfield. He looked excellent. Needs a run of games there before he can be judged on consistency. That applies to a lot of our players too more so the new signings

Nothing much between Colback and Cattermole, I think Jack nicked it for me. Thought it was a brave decision to take Catts off, it looked like the wrong one until Borini scored. That's why Gus is a manager and I frequent football forums.

I still think it was the wrong decision mate, Newcastle stepped it up without Catts in there.
