BATTLE FOR COLBACK

Newcastle outcast Jack Colback is wanted by Championship rivals Hull City and Sunderland, according to The Sun.

Former Sunderland midfielder joined Newcastle in the summer of 2014 after making 115 games for the Black Cats. from rivials Sunderland on a free transfer.

The 27-year-old has been left out of Magpies boss Rafael Benitez’s first team plans in the Premier League this season, having reportedly been involved in a training-ground row with the Spaniard.

Aston Villa and Wovles have also been linked with Colback this summer, but it is thought that his current wages – estimated to be in the range of £35,000 a week – have proved a stumbling block in negotiations.

Alan Nixon again. Same one that started the "Sunderland are actively seeking a buyer for Didier N'Dong" story!

The bloke is a prick of the highest order and works for Mirror Group (or used to at least)

Not for me along with Rhodes - go with Maja and Asoro if we need but the kid from Man City seems to be very promising imho

Can't see any reason that we'd need Colback, we're well stocked at CM and at LB, plus he's borderline useless.

He'd be fighting it out with Rodwell for 4th choice. As said, offers nothing different to what we've got. Makes no sense. If we went for a CM surely it would for one who doesn't get a nose bleed going forward and not until we've got the forwards and defence sorted. All too far fetched.

I think you maybe slightly biased.

Wow that is a massive statement form the club I cannot comprehend it ! being serious though I don't like his hair style to be honest. Danny graham and Altidor next eh ?. pick your own ex players coming back for a laugh I will start with that superb striker and jock back about 12 years ago Kevin kyle, who to me was never onside when a ball was played to him or could not keep on his own two feet.
