    Yesterday's attendance only 11,200 including 880 Northampton.

Must be a record low for Kids for a quid day ?

And those are the 'official' figures.

Yesterday was another decent day at the Valley, and the fans who did come were positive and backed the team well.
But there was nowhere near 11,000 present.

I would estimate 8,500 maybe - could have been as few as 8,000, and certainly no more than 9,000.
The weather was reasonable too; some clouds came over but it was mild and dry, so not a wash-out.

    I agree @lardiman

The real attendances are still around the 9,000 max

Meire will have to give out more than 6 Millenium Lounge passes to get the other 15,000 back

Sounded like a good win, but from someone who wasn't there I will add a note of caution. Last week Plymouth scored first and were able to sit back and defend, and we quickly ran out of ideas. Yesterday we scored first, Northampton were forced to chase the game and leave gaps where we could play football.
I reckon we look as if we could have a good season here, but we haven't got a squad with enough cover for this season and it sounds as if we are shutting up shop in the transfer market.
That said, yesterday was one to savour. There is definately the core of a good team here, and KR deserves a lot of credit for some of the signings he has bought in. It's nice to wake up on sunday with a win like that under our belts. If we can get another striker in, it would be great.

Holmes in particular is a Championship-standard player whom many teams at this level struggle to cope with. He stretched the game, which suited us. I am not saying Northampton's defenders were slow, but they resembled Reams in a pair of diving boots.

Spot on dick, couldn't have put a better summary myself. Was a bit worried at set pieces cos they towered over us and when they got one back (ball lumped in the box) was expecting the barrage for the last 10 of long balls, but never really materialised. Like u say, get that striker in, and we will be up there come the end of the season.
