"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy." MLK (1963)
Big Man should take his kid to every game, last time a hat-trick..... today a goal after 2 mins CAFC 1-- Cobblers 0
Somehow fitting that the day after Brucie died, we had a "good game, good game". After Ricky Holmes gave us a twirl in midfield and basically ran the show, only poor final passes and bad finishing prevented a rout. What we need now is a lucky pair up front - someone who can play off Magennis (good today) and finish the tap ins that we are currently missing. With Duchatelet seemingly still intent on playing the Generation Game by looting the Academy of its assets, will we ever get to say 'nice to see you to see you nice' to Konsa and Aribo in the Championship? The spine of a promotion side is there - now it's up to the Belgian idiot. In summary today - didn't we do well
Can't ever knock a 4-1 result - sounded comfortable all round. Here's hoping we can start putting back to back wins together.
Certainly the biggest, even bigger than last season. He could go in goal, KR likes a goalie who fills the goal.
Just back from the game. We were excellent. Northampton were a very big side but we managed to defend well from crosses and corners. Our quick fluid style gave them no end of problems. Billy Clarke, playing behind the striker, was the star for me. Ben Amos, who some have written off after two games, made two very good saves. The pace from Fosu and Holmes really troubled them. Forster- Caskey took his goals well. Now is the time to bring in a striker. We can't carry on with just Magennis up top all season. If Novak goes we will need two in. I feel that we have all the makings of a promotion chasing squad with Marshall and Reeves to come in. It's down to you Roland.

@DickPlumb Amos is a good shot stopper, but wasn't tested with a single decent cross today. Jury still out.
And me. It was a pleasure to watch his reading of the play. First name on the team-sheet. Holmes not far behind either.
