My thoughts go out to all those affected by police helicopter crash in Glasgow

In fact my thoughts go out to anyone who lives in Glasgow

 

Cork band 'Sultans of Ping' are to re-release their single "Where's Me Jumper" to aid survivors.

 

The manager of the Clutha pub, Angus McTavish has spoke of how he feels following the helicopter crash....

"Don't you bastards think ye can get oot of paying yer tab! I ken where ya live ya thieving ****s

 

STV news at the moment is embarrassing.

Am already sick of this constant self congratulatory "how great are we" in a minor tragedy. I can remember feeling the same way after the Glasgow Airport incident.

There was loss of life. Sadly. But **** happens. In terms of tragedy it's a blip compared to the tragedies that occur world wide so get a ****in grip.

Don't get me wrong, there is no doubt that we Scots are historically a hardy, brave, and humanitarian race, but cut this media **** out. Right ****in now. I'd rather not have us up there with the media grief of other incidents in other parts of the country/world.

A ****e thing happened. Humans helped other humans. End.

 

News coverage means us mortals take our eye of something else and slight of hand and bang some other law/tax/infringement of your rights passed without you noticing.I'm not paranoid and who said that!

30,000 people freezing to death every year is a bigger disaster that the helicopter crash, don't see much media coverage or politicians spewing their sadness at that

Noo not a Celtic supporter but a Toon supporter and some on here think that's worser.Went to old firm game in the '90's,Ibrox St.Patricks day,1 all and a man send off each.After match went to a boozer behind the Daily Record and then ended up in another boozer something called ... Cafe,Celtic pub.I went with 2 lads and my bird at the time,all travelled from London.The lads were from Glasgow and Belfast,the Glasgow lad would be known.
