Not so sure about the new club badge...

Made me wonder...what ever became of that sign at the Spurs pub on Great Cambridge Road. It was a figure of a cockrell dressed as a Spurs player.Badge and all. It closed some while ago.Someones got it....and those match pictures that were on the walls inside.

A few quick points on future incomes...

We got nothing from any concessions at Wembley.
Lots of comments that numerous bars ran out of beers again last night. Saturday should see the place drunk dry post-game. This is a major revenue stream.
We have 16 additional non-football events to add - maybe £30m - £40m.
We've added commercial sponsors Hugo Boss, Audi, Heiniken, HP, EA Sports and half a dozen others since then. I wonder what they're bringing in?

The stadium has enabled us to really up our game in the commercial department. Is that another £100m all told? It looks about right to me.

Please let's announce the stadium sponsorships soon to shut up the "we'll never pay it off' brigade!
Seemed to me that there was plenty of beer when I left about half an hour after the game

I'm doubting that it will get much reporting. Always the way...

Levy is sitting on 28% of the value of new WHL, so no big deal to him.

In contrast to the mayor of Newham (whatever happened to him) and
his proclamation that he had spent 40m of borough taxpayer money
for "30% of that" (the White Elephant stadium) . :)

On that note, what have our lovely neighbours said about yesterday ??
Anything from the dirty moonface ??
An opening orchestrated by a stadium "full of seasoned professional" dg. ??

Sorry if that seemed rude. I was on my way out and didn't check what I'd written. Looking back at it, it looks really awful.

I have heard from people that were there and read on other forums that the Beavertown stuff ran out and the Amstel and at some of the bars, the Heiniken too.

Again, sorry for the earlier post.

I did sneak a look at KUMB last night.

The reaction was that they know full well that they've been sold a pup and we've been given something truly special. A few were snipey but told to pipe down by fans who have no love for us but weren't going to allow them to get away with suggestions that the stadium wasn't all that.

One of the funniest was the suggestion that both clubs had taken part in the 'New Stadium Game Show' and whilst we'd gone home with the sports car, all they could remember was the cuddly toy and went home with that.

I like to think of them coming up with an athletics stadium in the middle of nowhere, more like Bullseye when the blokes from Stoke-on-Trent won a speedboat.....

"Great.....Now what the **** are we supposed to do with that?"

I definitely didn't see the rude side of it so no worries- no need for an apology.

Here's what you could have won...

For what? Contact extensions? To get them to **** off? We didn't ****ing sign anyone! <laugh>
Yup, for contract extensions (barring Lucas' signing, obviously)

There's a brief mention in the current issue of WSC how, back in 2004, Tim Cahill would've signed for Palace until his agent demanded the club pay him the 5% commission instead of his client, which led to Simon Jordan cancelling the deal...and then Cahill signed for Everton while Palace were relegated by a single point, meaning that by refusing to pay £100k Simon Jordan cost the club millions

Not sure why I brought it up, other than laughing at Simon Jordan's ineptitude...

In other words, a certain Nomad mod should probably change their avatar gif, as it makes them look like an ill-informed twat...
