I'm pretty certain that I was told that Mourinho wanted to keep Skipp at the club this season and intended to give him meaningful minutes but Skippy wanted to be first choice somewhere and play a full season. He's been the best player in the best side in the division (before every other player got injured), playing either as a holding player or as a box to box midfielder. He's very much a Mourinho player. Next season should see him sharing a midfield role with Hojbjerg and Sissoko and I've every faith in him. Harry Winks must know that the writing's on the wall, unless Mourinho leaves or transforms his whole football philosophy.
It will be a shame to see Winks go if it happens , there is a good footballer in him as when he plays for England shows , Harry is a local lad to me and I've followed his career for years before he made his 1st team debut, my hope is the coaching staff can turn him round but fear not The lad will be a good solid player for a club , ours ? Not sure
So the extra bag of cheesy quavers per annum that Levy offered him wasn't enough to persuade him to stay then?
When he arrived it was pointed out that he's pretty nomadic, with his stints at Sheffield United and Portsmouth being pretty short And, no, Luis Campos is not an option to replace him, as Steve Hitchen is our DoF
He's actually "only" won it five times out of the last eight seasons, two with Leverkusen and three with Spurs. Ki won it at Swansea in 2016, somehow. That was his third. The other two went to Kim Young-gwon and Hwang Ui-Jo, who were both playing in Asia. Guanghzou Evergrande won the league and the Asian Champions League, plus they actually won a game at the World Club Cup, which explains the former. The latter scored 16 goals in the J-League for Gamba Osaka, who basically did **** all, so I guess that's why he got it.
