For the same reason that other people in football are being asked to take a wage deferral. It's really not that hard.
I think the original pledge is being delivered on at the moment. That may not have been the intention of course!
Judging by how people from care homes have been sent home from A&E without being tested for Covid and promptly infecting the rest of the care home, I think the only thing being delivered is Toby Young's idea that we just let the elderly and disabled die so we can get the kids back in school by the end of April
Tottenham's Serge Aurier and Moussa Sissoko have apologised for training together despite the coronavirus restrictions. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52374238 If you are going to do it don't advertise yourselves and don't get caught. I am sure others are also out together training
As standard for The Athletic, somehow it didn't occur to them to suggest any of the following * Sporting Director/SoF * Development coaches * New scouting setup * Airing episodes of AFTV on the big screens at half time captioned with "This is what some of you sound like, get a ****ing grip" ...but don't forget to pay your subscription fee so you can flex on your relevant subreddit!
Eric Dier has been charged with misconduct by the FA for running into the crowd at the end of the game 7,000 years ago. He has until Christmas to respond or something.
That was the 4th March which seems like yrs ago , Dier should insist any ban runs from that date , that will be about 7 games from the last time we played
That's another way the FA can tailor punishments as they please by "clever" wording. If they really want to stuff someone they'll make it a number of games, if they don't want to they can just specify a date or similar. Depends on the team of course. For discrepancies in punishment, see for eg Poch's touchline ban etc etc.
Starting next Saturday ITV are showing re-runs of FA cup finals starting with ......... Tottenham Hotspur v Coventry City ffs do I not want to see that
I've never seen it...and I'm never going to, either. I was in Spain back then, celebrating my second divorce. The satellite feed went down in the bar just before kick off. Listened to it on the radio...all round a bad day!
I remember it very well , Parked at Stanmore and when I got back the car was gone ,found in Coventry 3 weeks later and when i went to pick it up from the police compound it had a full tank of petrol a new rear exhaust box and 2 new rear tyres . It was a 1600 mk 1 escort 2 door , wish I still had it ,would be worth about 8 grand now
The answer will surprise nobody, but it's covered early on and most of it's about why it's the case. Not massively insightful, though it's interesting to see the stats back up what most people already thought. I didn't realise quite how one-footed his is, either.
The obvious question is how to get Dele, Lo Celso, Son and Bergwijn on the pitch at the same time which gets the most out of them while not massively weakening another area of the team, as most attempts so far have either weakened us in getting the ball forward, or needed at least one player to play so far out of position they may as well have been benched, or left our midfield about as useful defensively as a couple of matchsticks propped up on a tennis ball ...or at least two of that list at the same time
