Dynamic ticketing in football would result in 60,000 almost totally different people attending games week on week, but probably spending at least £200 each for even the cheapest ticket. That's £12m per matchday and £228m per season. The allure is obvious.
No. That is centrally controlled. True dynamic pricing is controlled by live supply and demand, or at least TicketMaster claims it is. it's a global auction. The club would set the minimum price and sit back as the market takes control. The profit margins would be obscene. It's so obvious this is where the Super League was meant to take the game, which is why the teams chosen weren't the best but they were the most popular. You need a huge global fanbase to make dynamic pricing work, as you're essentially rotating through the wealthiest of your 180 million supporters game by game.
I think that's virtually all clubs, certainly in the Premier League, anyway. I know a number of Championship clubs have raised their prices for away fans above those of the top-flight clubs, too. Orient have tickets for three categories of matches, which are also annoyingly named. A, B and C? No, AA, A and B. £30, £28 and £23 in advance and £3/4 more on the day.
So far the various changes have never really affected profitability...the extra cash coming in has effectively gone to the players and coaches. A change to dynamic pricing might affect this but there would still be huge pressure to sign the best players who have the real control
The summer of 2019 is the main reason people suggest that Paul Mitchell carried Poch With Mitchell almost every signing paid off one way or another, either on the pitch or netting us a tidy profit like Wimmer did - but once Mitchell left and Poch was making the decisions on who to sign, the duds piled up quickly starting with Sanchez and Aurier and culminating with Ndombele, and you have to wonder if we missed out on Grealish as we had to bend Poch's arm to make an approach
The Villa game has been changed to pander to broadcasters. The Citeh game KO has been changed to maximise the USA audience.
Fan forum Q&A video: Haven't watched it yet and the quality is very choppy and poor. Hopefully it'll get sorted.
It will be exactly how the club wants it? I don’t get that. Right now Spurs are in a long trophy drought, any success (assume he’s talking about winning trophies) would be welcome.
Not so sure. Do you recall levy saying a few years back how he wanted to return to the spurs dna? He wants to win trophies AND entertain!
Whenever we try the pragmatic approach it either doesn't last long, or the light at the end of the tunnel turns out to be a dumpster fire
I think he's deliberately echoing Bill Nich and Danny Blanchflower. It's also about Postecoglou's way of doing things, which has bought him plenty of success, to be fair.
I reckon that'll be it for him. He'll head back to SK to finish his career. And as is well-documented by now, it will surprise no-one to learn that I think this would be the right decision at the right time, for both player and club.
Yeah 2026 gives Spurs time to develop Moore to take over from Sonny. If not Moore then I’m sure they can sign Werner on loan a couple more times
