No, I'm citing valid reasons to not support a team I have no connection to other than the assumption I should because my parents just so happened to have sex there

The England team brings out the absolute worst in everyone, with the fans trashing everything in sight when they lose (and often when they aren't playing, as happened at Euro 2000, Euro 2016 - while they were chanting about voting Leave, by the way - or even when not in the same country, as demonstrated by them kicking off in Tenerife a few weeks ago) and the press are right behind them, to the point I'm running a poll on the degree of gammon bait The Sun's front page will have before England play France. I'm expecting Napoleon, dinghies and "cheese eating surrender monkeys" to feature prominently

And all that can **** off into the sea as far as I'm concerned, because if I want to see boneheads trashing things and celebrating their one-sided rivalries we have West Ham for that

The connection is it’s your country.

England at a major tournament definitely doesn’t bring out the absolute worst in everyone.

Like I said, you’re looking for any excuse to not get behind them.

Seems like weird ticketing for this one.
They go on sale tomorrow, so it may be clearer then.

It's not my country, my parents coincidentally happened to have sex there while I had no say in the matter

Just because my parents happened to have sex there is no reason for me to pretend that the nastiness which follows the England team around (and, for a long time, was at the heart of the team itself) doesn't exist so I should mindlessly and tunelessly hum the Dambusters March for 90 minutes
 
Just checking the Nice friendly now and the ticket availability is... odd.
101 to 113 are open, which is the bottom tier across the West stand and most of the North.
Strangely limited. Don't know what that's about.

I guess there is a minimum % of capacity that the
home club has to make available, and any excess
above that is then :

1. at the whim of the home club (spare capacity etc)
2. subject to public order considerations

Dunno whether a 1 in 7 ticket allocation is far above
average for a visiting club (it feels to me that it is) .

They sold out their 8,800 within minutes apparently so I guess they felt it was worth a try to ask for more.
