It would be a shame to get fined or punished from the FA because of 1 person.

Down side is the Blackthorne end has lost a vocal supporter.

Here is the statement in full in case anyone not able to open the Rovers link while at work for ect...

As many of you are aware, we were reported to the Football Association (FA) after a skirmish behind the goal at Braintree last month, following the award of a penalty to the home side.

One so called Rovers supporter even managed to strike a Braintree player from his place on the terrace while one or two others rushed the perimeter barrier.

Once again, therefore, a small minority of so called supporters spoilt things for the majority of those who simply travelled to Braintree to support their team, and the good name and reputation of Rovers and their supporters was called into question.

Let’s be clear about this; any supporter who causes problems, home or away, is not wanted by this football club and will be banned from attending any games if it is proven that they have been responsible for any threatening behaviour towards opposition supporters or players.

We, as a club, are responsible for the behaviour of our supporters both home and away, a point which many fans are unaware.

On this occasion we have received a strong warning from the FA, but disciplinary action is likely to be taken against us should there be any further reports of misconduct by Bristol Rovers supporters.

Our safety officer spent many hours in discussions with club officials at Rovers and Braintree and considered video evidence of the incident before preparing a statement for the FA.

We ask all supporters to remain vigilant and to report any misconduct to stewards.

Well this just typifies the tossers that Control (?????????) the FA. Rovers appeal re Wycombe drags on and on and on and still drags on, because it doesn't suit the w&nkers that are alleged to control the game to arrive at an outcome, why ? Because they ballsed things up. Meantime almost instantly a public warning handed out by the same bunch of sh*sters to Rovers. One rule for one and another for the minions.

I understand your frustration BSG but to be fair the tosser punching a player was a pretty much open and closed case. There on TV for the world to see.

I think the FA have been firm but fair in giving us a warning. Just hope everyone behaves themselves from now on in.

I dont know about that Danny. The conference are very strict about things, far more strict than the FA and football league. Looking back in the last 10 years, so many teams have been docked points for things, not just for entering administration! Salisbury and Hereford were kicked out of our league before the season and I dont believe they would have been kicked out their league if they were in the football league.

Next time this happens, as we been warned, we will get heavily fined or points deducted or even both for sure.

Hmm maybe does seem to be a different ball game down here.

The FL could learn a thing or two by following the stricter rules of the conference.

Thats just the last 10 seasons. I cant be bother to go back further <laugh> But this shows teams get punished and for different things and for different amount of points <ok>

Are those finacial reasons for deductions though?

Or like ours fan punishment?

tbh, i dont know what they are all for but i can only presume they are not all for financial reasons. i say this because you cant give 1 team 1 point deduction and another team 10 points deduction for doing the same crime if that makes sense. has to be different things not just financial reasons. thats my reasoning behind it. may be wrong mind.

I have added all the reasons. Seems most is financial related after all. 2005/06 season for Altrincham seems harsh being given 18 points deduction for the same offence as a few others who only got 1 point or 4 points deduction. Strange.

The only reasons I can think of is that it may have been more than one player or they played the player in more than one game
