Bristol Rovers FC have today released a statement regarding fans behaviour at Braintree. The altercations where an opposition player was hit by a fan and fans caused problems regarding their overall conduct. The link is to the clubs statement on the OS. http://www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/article/safety-message-1935700.aspx
It would be a shame to get fined or punished from the FA because of 1 person. Down side is the Blackthorne end has lost a vocal supporter.
Here is the statement in full in case anyone not able to open the Rovers link while at work for ect...
Well this just typifies the tossers that Control (?????????) the FA. Rovers appeal re Wycombe drags on and on and on and still drags on, because it doesn't suit the w&nkers that are alleged to control the game to arrive at an outcome, why ? Because they ballsed things up. Meantime almost instantly a public warning handed out by the same bunch of sh*sters to Rovers. One rule for one and another for the minions.
I understand your frustration BSG but to be fair the tosser punching a player was a pretty much open and closed case. There on TV for the world to see. I think the FA have been firm but fair in giving us a warning. Just hope everyone behaves themselves from now on in.
I dont know about that Danny. The conference are very strict about things, far more strict than the FA and football league. Looking back in the last 10 years, so many teams have been docked points for things, not just for entering administration! Salisbury and Hereford were kicked out of our league before the season and I dont believe they would have been kicked out their league if they were in the football league. Next time this happens, as we been warned, we will get heavily fined or points deducted or even both for sure.
Hmm maybe does seem to be a different ball game down here. The FL could learn a thing or two by following the stricter rules of the conference.
2013/14: Alfreton Town deducted 3 points Aldershot Town deducted 10 points 2012/13: no teams deducted points. 2011/12: Darlington deducted 10 points Kettering Town deducted 3 points 2010/11: Kidderminster Harr deducted 5 points Rushden and Diamonds deducted 5 points Kettering Town deducted 2 points Histon deducted 5 points 2009/10: Salisbury City deducted 10 points Gateshead deducted 1 point Grays Athletic deducted 2 points 2008/09: Oxford United deducted 5 points Crawley Town deducted 1 point Mansfield Town deducted 4 points 2007/08: Crawley Town deducted 6 points Halifax Town deducted 10 points 2006/07: Crawley Town deducted 10 points 2005/06: Altrincham deducted 18 points 2004/05: Tamworth deducted 3 points Northwich Victoria deducted 10 points Thats just the last 10 seasons. I cant be bother to go back further But this shows teams get punished and for different things and for different amount of points
tbh, i dont know what they are all for but i can only presume they are not all for financial reasons. i say this because you cant give 1 team 1 point deduction and another team 10 points deduction for doing the same crime if that makes sense. has to be different things not just financial reasons. thats my reasoning behind it. may be wrong mind.
I have added all the reasons. Seems most is financial related after all. 2005/06 season for Altrincham seems harsh being given 18 points deduction for the same offence as a few others who only got 1 point or 4 points deduction. Strange.
The only reasons I can think of is that it may have been more than one player or they played the player in more than one game
