    What annoys me is that some of the people complaining (and I've seen the complaints) are happy to post on GC when it suits them but when they find something on here offensive they start wailing and asking for GC to be closed down and/or for posters to be banned.

    A major figure in British football dies in mysterious circumstances. It's a huge story, one that has gripped the whole nation. People everywhere are asking "Why?" Why would someone that appeared to have everything choose to end his own life?

    Yet, on here, an internet chat forum, the topic is locked. <doh>

    The lunatics have indeed taken over the asylum.

    Exactly what I was saying before. They're quite happy to laugh and joke about the deaths of thousands of helpless people in natural disasters, but a bloke takes his own life, and because he's an ex-footballer the subject is taboo.

    Apparently it's OK to make jokes about dead black and Jewish entertainers. But not footballers. Just because a couple of whinging ****s and one extremely moany mod throws an eppy we're now all to sit quietly with our fingers to our lips.

    I said it yesterday but there are bairns croaking it every minute from AIDS and starvation, failed states like Somalia and DR Congo, turmoil all over the Arab world.

    One Taff croaks and Not606 goes into meltdown <doh> <doh>

    Some of these ****s need to get a ****ing grip of themselves and get some perspective on things.
