Hopefully an end to the UK’s ridiculous and meaningless ‘net zero’ drive under Labour and Sir Kier.

Open up those bloody oil fields and coal mines, build some nuclear reactors, invest heavily in tidal and let’s become self- sufficient for our energy needs.

No let’s take it all away from the oil company experts and ask Dan from Derby to buy a boat and sail round to the oil fields and start bringing it home for the country.

After all, extracting oil from the deep sea bed is such an easy thing to do. Why do you need rich experts with decades of experience to do it. No need for surveys, infrastructure, rigs, pipelines, distribution networks, legal experts etc etc etc.

Eat the rich. And let the people extract the oil for themselves and get the profits .

I simply see through the lie that North Sea Oil will benefit Britain.

Granted thousands of jobs will be created in Scotland.
But after hundreds of thousands of jobs were lost closing our Coal mines (who did that?) it's a pretty poor change of heart after 40 years.

Steel, shipbuilding, mining, coachbuilding, aerospace & arms manufacturing.
All of those used to employ vast numbers of skilled people for generations. People who could make ends meet. With jobs for life and self respect.
All thrown away by the Party that looks after only the obscenely rich.
A Party now re-inventing itself with a light blue rosette.
Yeah, we're all fooled by that trick.

Thousands of jobs will be created in Scotland and elsewhere and we’d be far less reliant on importing our energy from abroad with all the insecurity that the latter brings, plus all the environmental damage that that increases, if we followed all the ideas I’ve suggested (oil, coal, nuclear, tidal).

But no, let’s not exploit our oil reserves, coal reserves, nuclear or ‘greener’ energy.

Let’s just import it all from China, the Middle East or anywhere else that appeases our socialist consciousnesses.

Can’t have anyone in this country getting rich can we.

We certainly can't have poor people getting rich. Less to go round for those already very rich.

I'm a big fan of nuclear energy.
Unfortunately it takes longer to build a nuclear reactor in this Country than it took to build our great Cathedrals (average 100 years).
