He wasn't fit though mate & he proved in his first season he can do it.

I kept hearing about him not being fit, Billy, but I reckon that's a lot of old Fanny.

All he proved in the first season was that he can play for a side in the lower regions of the Premier.

To me, that is his level. That and promotion hunting in the Championship. I want something better for our club, hence my desire to see the back of him.

Plus we got well ripped off with the fee!

I thought the fee was high mate but his goals last season may well just have kept us up. <ok>

The strange thing about Fletcher is the few goals he got with his head, I seem to remember he was highly rated in this department, but he did score some great one touch goals and you don't lose that skill, I say give him a chance next season, if he fails then move him on in January, same with Josy unless of course we get offers for them which we cant refuse, some hope.

Would like to see go:

Bardsley - I think his performance off the ball is woeful (out of position etc.) but isn't noticed so much as it is off the ball. I think he is a limited footballer with a great attitude only when it suits him. He's been poor for a while but turned it on when it is contract time. We need to move on from him. I'd only keep him on low wages as a squad player.

Gardner - Simply because I can't stand to watch him piss away ANOTHER freekick. The occasional 30 yarder doesn't' mask the lack of quality across all other aspects of his game.

Borini - CONTROVERSIAL! We've had a season of terrible strikers and he couldn't force himself into our striker role. If you take away the penalties (I know you've still got to score them) I think he has scored 2 in open play in the Premier League. Love his attitude, love his work rate and I'd like to keep him but not at the price we would need to pay. Just financial. If we could get him for under £5m I'd say yes but Liverpool are going to think we want him more than we actually need him and will try and take our pants down. £5m plus buys you a better winger and £5m plus would probably buy you more goals up front.

Fletcher - He's just not fussed is he. Therefore I'm not fussed about keeping him.

Westwood - He's good but I don't think he will ever really set the world on fire for us. I don't think he pushes Vito enough. Good goalkeeper on his day but.........meh

Cuellar, Danny Graham, Dossena, Diakite - Just don't offer a whole lot, not much more of an explanation.

Would like to keep:

Ki - Rolls Royce of a footballer. Name a more consistent passer of a ball since Reyna or Schwartz? Completely two footed as well (pisses me off that all footballers aren't two footed, I taught myself as an 8yr old against a school wall so why can't professionals?). Low risk and in his last year of his contract and you can bet we would get him for under £4m. If we want to play a passing style then player like Ki would be perfect. People say they don't want him because of recent attitude. Doesn't bother me in the slightest, you have to remember that for about 1/3rd of the season he was our best player. Our situation was dire and his head dropped, but our situation was DIRE! Still well worth the money.

Altidore - but out on loan. We sell him now and we will get humped on the transfer fee. I'd rather loan him to Holland, Spain, Portugal, Russia, Turkey where the football is slower, hope to raise his value and be able to recall him if the chips are down. Unlike some I actually still think there is a footballer in there somewhere, but his confidence is absolutely in shreds. He does have some good qualities to his game.

N'Diaye - Good player, would have suited Gus in my opinion. Bring him back, see if Gus likes him and if not sell him. Untapped potential.

Colback - I think Colback is pretty decent but I do wonder how close he may already be to his ceiling in terms of development. Still if we lose Colback for nothing then someone at the club need lynching. We should have the option to keep or sell and getting anything less than £6m for him is criminal. I'm not sure how much of a role he could play in the future is we were to push on, but we need him in our squad. At the same time, if he goes, even up the road, I wish him well. The club hasn't exactly nurtured him or valued him.

Larsson - Purely from a financial perspective. He is a decent player (obviously brilliant when he is playing for a contract, the dick) that we get to keep for the cost of a contract. Would cost too much to buy a replacement. Keeping him is the prudent financial choice. Gus should get him to stay back for an hour each day until he remembers how to take a corner and freekick.

Giaccherini - Should try and keep him and put more faith in him. Valued at bloody Juventus, scores against Brazil for Italy, but isn't good enough for us? Bull ****! Play him week in week out on the left wing and save the money we would spend on Borini as it would be better spent elsewhere.

Ustari - Good keeper in my opinion. Happy to be a number two for the time being and I think he would be hard for Vito to instantly displace if Vito were out with injury. Cost nothing and would be cheap wages. Good attitude.

Vergini - Good now and will only get better. Won't cost much.

Would like to shoot:

John O'Shea. Nothing to add.

Immaculate post, although I would keep Borini, on the basis he's scored those goals NOT playing as a striker.

That actually makes his return incredibly impressive, and I think he's bonded with the club.

He had a dip after the cup final, as did many, but he has bust his knackers last 6 weeks, and I like the lad.

That was my point - we didn't get relegated!

Would we have? Who knows, but I'm glad that he was out of the way, and would welcome his departure.

Haven't forgotten those pictures of him allegedly spitting on the back of the driver of a horse drawn carriage. Obviously nowt to do with football, but running a football club is a business and part of that means having wealthy sponsors. Anything or anyone that reflects negatively on our club is a no for me.

I'm not asking for angels, just players with a bit of nous about them.

Aye I remember that. If it'd been on the back of Steven Taylor the cockney twat it'd be fine though!!
