i know your not supposed to like gerrard on here because of "that photo" but that goal was one of the finest non city moments ive ever seen...most players wouldnt have even contemplated hitting that 1st time...

I can only remember the FA Cup from about 2000 onwards, so unlike some on here I can't remember the times when the cup was in its heyday with some famous cup upsets and great games. However there's a few great games i've seen in the cup in the last 10/12 years -

2006 FA Cup final Liverpool 3-3 West Ham (Liverpool on pens)
2006 Luton V Liverpool, can't remember the score but Luton made a real game of it and Alonso scored from half way.
2002 final Arsenal 2-0 Chelsea
2004 Spurs 3-4 Man City
2007 Middlesbrough 4-3 Hull, Our best in the FA Cup in my time supporting city.
 
I love these old football clips, everyone looks so funny.

When a goal is scored the whole team just run around jumping like 5 year olds, it's so strange.

cup finals seem so cagey today in comparison, if you look at that palace v man united final, the defences where wide open..
dont know if its attitudes or the defenders just werent as good..

Luton 3-5 Liverpool, Luton were 3-1 up as well with about 60 minutes gone I think <confused>

Sad to see what's happened to them actually, they did brilliantly in that first year in the Championship. I remember them beating Southampton and Palace in the first couple of games too :)

My husband's only FA Cup Final and the last football match he saw before leaving the UK permanently in 1966.Wearing a huge Wednesday rosette he was in an area full of Everton supporters. A few months earlier he had swapped a World Cup final ticket for the FA Cup Final ticket as Hull City looked to have a chance of reaching the final before being beaten in the 6th round by Chelsea.
