https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48165344 Bless . Poor little hard done to Liverpool getting their excuses in early.
"Two of the world's best strikers are not available tomorrow night and we have to score four goals," said Klopp. Always the victims....
That's a perfectly fine thing for Klopp to say. It's a perfectly fine thing for any manager of a club in that scenario to say. If it was Barcelona's manager complaining that Suarez and Messi were out, you wouldn't give a ****. Liverpool are ****s, but don't act like every single thing they do is complete ****ery.
Liverpool FC aren't ****s. Some of their arrogant, permanent victimhood fans are. And even worse ****s are Hull Reds and all the Reds from far flung places that have ****all connection to Liverpool.
I don't recall Pep Guardiola whingeing about no De Bruyne or Fernandinho last night... He's getting his excuses in early, playing the "We're the underdogs" card. Similar to the way managers play the "I know our opponents are two leagues below us/ bottom of the table but they're in a false position, and we have to be at it 100%" Not everything Klopp says is ****e, but you need to remember it's Liverpool, it means more.
HT. 1-0 Liverpool. Sounds like an exciting match - crowd doing their bit. Another Istanbul miracle in the offing ? It'll be tough. That game against Milan in '05 I watched in a bar just outside Nice. One of the best games I've ever seen. The owner of the bar ( an Italian) went to the match and spent 5 days in hospital after being mugged/assaulted after the game. My mate saw him the next month and he said he wasn't sure who attacked him - Turks or Merseysiders !
I forgot how much of a **** Suarez is. He's the attacking equivalent of Sergio Ramos. Don't know how I forgot like.
Well this just got a little more interesting. Watch Liverpool be 4-0 up in the 90th minute and Suarez scores
