He’s still our player isn’t he? If so he surely could inject some pace and drive out wide?
So perhaps like Wintle we should be getting the benefit of our players not other clubs.

Forgive my ignorance in these matters but is there a mechanism for the club to monitor how these players are doing when they are out on loan?

Can imagine them keeping an eye on Wintle and Watters.
For the others they're just marking time.
Im sure we used to have a 'loan monitoring officer' at some point.

Edit - Callum Davies was Player Liaison Officer but left a year or two ago. Not sure if he was replaced.

There must be someone looking at this. I think Tate was put in charge of monitoring the loaned out players by Martin at Swansea before he left to go with Cooper again.

I read somewhere that Wolves were pleased with the progress of Giles.
Contrary to that PNE manager reported to not be impressed with Murphy’s work ethic.
I haven’t kept tabs on Oxford this season to see how Whyte is performing.

I don't recall Whyte being very quick. He certainly didn't get much joy getting past his defender. His crossing wasn't up to much either. However he worked hard up and down the touchline and gave good cover to his fullback.

I doubt he's changed much at Oxford but looks better at a lower level.

Wintle didn't show well in his few appearances for us but that might have been a mix of lack of fitness and our system then didn't suit him. Worth another chance.

Watters deserves another chance as he wasn't given one under Mick. Again the system didn't suit him.

Murphy - the door shut a long time ago.

Id have Wintle and Murphy back.

The rest can stay where they are.

I though that. The player we first signed was stolen by aliens and replaced by someone who has never kicked a ball.

    Watters at the double.
    Will he be called back?

    Whyte didn’t feature for Oxford.

He does look good playing on the shoulder of defenders waiting for a ball in and he obviously has the ability to finish off through balls.
But would he’d be any good in our team as we haven’t got midfielders playing high enough up the pitch who can thread balls through?

Yes I see your point but I see him more of a Jordan Mutch type rather than a quality playmaker like Mcphail and one of the better players I’ve seen at CCS recently Jordan O’Neill of Huddersfield.
