Why a 2 year loan? Is it so we can call him back and sell him after a year if he does well? If not then I really don't get it.

What did we pay for him? £7m? Great return on our investment.

We are the opposite to Brentford in the fact we buy high lose for nothing or sell for **** all. An excellent business model.

To be fair, your not gonna get them all right, we haven’t done bad with investment in signings till Silva took over the sh1t storm. Since then not one player we have signed has a decent sell on value, if any value at all! Works hand in hand with the master that is Ehab!

I talk to a Villa fan a lot at another depot, but I darent ask him now ..

Well, whether he's **** or not, still probably better than what we've got already. Let's not get too excited, 3 obstacles to overcome, well 4;

Training ground/facilities, how under whelmed will he be?
Can he pass the medical?
Put a wheel lock on his car, so he doesn't go to lunch.
Ehab.

Elphick given our current circumstances potentially could be a very good signing. Him and Burke a good pairing. He'd also make a better captain that Henriksen!

That would also leave 3 centre backs on the sidelines, so one of them will be gone come January, goodbye Mr McDonald I suspect

Given that we seem as defensively solid as a wet paper bag at present, Elphick seems a sensible signing should it happen. Ridiculous that yet again we are left to one whole day to probably determine the destiny of our season.

Didn’t Newcastle bid 10 mil for him a year or so ago? Or was that just paper talk?
