My take was that Nige was asking for fans to stick with the club as much as the players, that's simply NOT going to happen under the current ownership. If it's a case of supporting the players, if you are still one of the one's that turns up as I did last Saturday, then I feel the vast majority do, however they will always unfortunately be the mindless few who will jeer when they put in a performance (or lack of one) like the one against Blackburn, and frankly I don't see that changing

It’s something I don’t want to have at the football club. I want everybody together. It’s the second game at home and we have highlighted it is going to be a tough season.

It’s going to be challenging and we need everybody together. That’s the players on the pitch, that’s the supporters being with the team.

We need to put it all together so from my point of view it’s sad that that has happened so early in the season. They are not the scenes you want to have, especially so early.

If you know bugger all about football, their words not mine, then at least put people with that knowledge in place and give them the tools (and funds) to do their job effectively! I have yet to see what Darnborough brings to the party, no point in him being around. As for Adkins and his team, I've not warmed to them one bit, and when he asks that the fans stick together as he has requested today through the Daily Fail, he's clearly got zero grasp of the magnitude of contempt that the fans have for the owners, and the apathy they alone have created! He has to toe the line to some degree, but stop spouting crap.

Owners & players are different.

Booing the players at full time is aimed at them, it’s personal to them & it will effect them both in their performance & attitudes.

The players may not be up to the job, we don’t know that yet. They may well be the standard of Lg1 or below but they've been offered a job with us in the Championship. Should they have turned down the chance? I wouldn't have.

The very least the supporters in the Stadium could offer those players (who have probably signed on the understanding that more experienced players would also be signed to further aide their development & will therefore also be feeling let down by the owners) is a vociferous support during & after the game.

They are not intrinsic in the owner’s ****ty schemes.

Support the players.

Lambast the owners.

Certainly don’t boo the players because of what the owners have done.

12k of the 'everybody together' have already f**ked off, and will not be returning anytime soon. I think that's generally accepted by most.

Yes it will be challenging (our current squad is weaker then the one which struggled throughout last season), tell us something we don't know

At least get the ones we have, demonstrating that they may have played together once before, and he may have cause to be optimistic and make such requests. I've seen City through many a dark day in the past, and always stuck with it irrespective, but Saturday was just awful.

I guess its just reflective of the malaise surrounding our club at present, but in terms of grabbing the shirt and hanging onto it, not a single player did enough to lay claim to the shirt again for tomorrow night, but the lack of competition further erodes that position

Unfortunately in our current climate I fear you will always have the mindless few who do not make that distinction

i agree totally with this, and can’t think of any situation where I’d boo a player in a City shirt.

I think though that the perception was on Saturday that the team had given up by 75 minutes, and folk get frustrated if they think the players aren’t putting up a fight. There’s no shame in giving everything you’ve got, only to be outclassed by a better team, and that will get the team support. Heads down passing across the back when behind and not helping your teammates when they make a run has them heading towards “not fit to wear the shirt” territory. Not saying it’s right, but we know we have enough fans that think like that and will be vocal about it.

I actually think the players we have are capable of making a decent stab at mid-table with the right leadership and tactics. I have no idea though what is going on behind the scenes and in their heads and whether that’s possible. I suppose now is a test of Adkins “mr motivation” schtick.

I didn't boo, never have or will.
However Blackburn are the worse side we have played by a mile. the performance was ****ing awful.
We have seen the players play better so we know they are capable of it.
Adkins has to take responsibility for it.
You can blame the Allams for most of the issues but Saturday was down to Adkins, simple as that.
playing a full back on the wing whilst a new winger that he bought is on the bench for 3 games.
Saturday. LFB gets injured, moves RFB to LFB, Takes FB from LW and puts him to RFB. brings on wishy washy CM to play....... left wing! leaving winger HE bought on the bench. same winger who hasn't even started a game including the league cup!!!
I'm sorry but Adkins is clueless
I'm sick of hearing the constant bullshit that comes from his mouth
Interview after Saturday "ive highlighted this, ive highlighted that" must of said it about 8 times!
when asked a straight forward question all we hear is "young team, working together, working hard for Hull city bla bla bla
"nigel do you know what time it is please? " what I can say is we are working hard together........ yeah great nigel but that's not what I asked you!!!

I didn't know Abraham was still a Chelsea player.
Apparently Bruce wants him,
He could easily make himself first choice here, something that wouldn't be guaranteed at Villa.

I was surprised to see Chelsea willing to let him go. They only have Giroud and Morata.

Abraham is an excellent signing for Villa. There is no way on earth he would ever consider coming to our **** shower.

Heard a rumour Tom Huddlestone might be coming back on loan.

Fat Franks realized he's not what he wants in cm.

Ehabs fave player.

I wouldn't say no.

Would be better than I could possibly imagine, so I can't see it happening.

Plus, didn't TH publicly bridge burn a little when he left?

Would love to see him back here.
Did we really once have players like him wearing the black & amber. Seems like a distant dream. Often you dont appreciate what you have until its gone. Still some people moaned.
Cant for one second see it happening tho.
