Despite what Akins said, there’s still a strong suggestion that we are actually in for him.
Well given every player we have admitted to having an interest in ends up going elsewhwre because our fkwit in charge likes to think he can get them on the cheap I don't blame Adkins at all for refuting interest..
Apparently the two players LD went to watch were Boro pair Ashley Fletcher and Marvin Johnson (who we were linked to last season, but we ****ed about with the asking price and he went to Boro instead).
I don't know why teams keep going in for Fletcher, he's never shown himself to be anything other than bang average and his goalscoring record is crap. Suppose he's only 22 and still has time on his side, but he's played for 2 Championship clubs and a League One club and managed 8 goals across those three spells.

Wednesday have just had their transfer embargo lifted, so we could still end up having a better window than us. 
If you saw OLM post earlier, this guy Nixon from the Sun, who is usually on the money with transfer news, says we are still in for him despite what Nigel has said.
It shouldn't need saying but it's far too late Lambo, they could address every issue at the club and even guarantee world peace forever but I and many others would still not spend a single penny at City until they've ****ed off for good.

Fletcher doesn't look like the big centre forward we're crying out for.
He says we have put bids in and matched other clubs wages offers. He doesn't say we matched the transfer offers of other clubs though. The devil is in the detail...
Though some of our fans make you wonder. Underneath the article in the HDM where Adkins asks for everyone to stick together one says what do you expect "you wouldn't pay £1.5 million for Norwood". The idiot must think Ehab said great, let's have him and Nige said no way, I'm not paying that much.
Just shows the utter contempt the Allams have dealt with our club.

If you know bugger all about football, their words not mine, then at least put people with that knowledge in place and give them the tools (and funds) to do their job effectively! I have yet to see what Darnborough brings to the party, no point in him being around. As for Adkins and his team, I've not warmed to them one bit, and when he asks that the fans stick together as he has requested today through the Daily Fail, he's clearly got zero grasp of the magnitude of contempt that the fans have for the owners, and the apathy they alone have created! He has to toe the line to some degree, but stop spouting crap.
My take was that Nige was asking for fans to stick with the club as much as the players, that's simply NOT going to happen under the current ownership. If it's a case of supporting the players, if you are still one of the one's that turns up as I did last Saturday, then I feel the vast majority do, however they will always unfortunately be the mindless few who will jeer when they put in a performance (or lack of one) like the one against Blackburn, and frankly I don't see that changing
