'The bosses of the club dictate what the finances are and we have to do what we can'.
'I want to be back in the Premier League, sometimes you need the tools to help yourself do that'.
Barmby territory.
"A good worker never blames his tools".What's he on about? He's got the tools. They're both running the club.
We must be the worst club in the country when it comes to transfer windows. Other clubs must roll their eyes when they hear we are on the phone.
Unfortunately the club and owners are bound together. **** emNot the worst club .. just the most stupid and pathetic owner
Thought we were only allowed 4 loans...or is it 5?Philip Buckingham @PJBuckingham
Adkins still fully expects another 3-4 new arrivals on loan before August 31 cut-off point.

I heard it was the first two, then a third offer of 250k plus 50k based on agreed performance factors. The first offer was £300k, the second offer was £300k, then we went in with a final take or leave it offer of £300k.
Very true plus the fact unless the parent club will go towards the wages then you end up getting younger lads learning the game. Harry Wilson was a great find for us last season but it must be hard depending on loans.Fully expect him to get 3-4 in on loan, whether they'll be Harry Wilsons (they won't) or Michael Hectors (yup) remains to be seen.
Thing is when you're relying on loans, you rarely get what you want, its more a case of what someone else will let you have
I noticed that when I read a couple of Man City 's players had gone to PrestonThere seems to be a perception that clubs don't do many loans until the main window has closed, but it's not true, many of the most promising players from the big clubs have sorted loan deals already. Championship clubs had signed 37 players on loan up to noon yesterday.
Worth also bearing in mind that we’ve already filled one loan slot with Todd Kane. There seems to be a perception that clubs don't do many loans until the main window has closed, but it's not true, many of the most promising players from the big clubs have sorted loan deals already. You have to feel for Nigel Adkins. He's been wanting a return to management for long enough and he ends up here. A club where the owners are hell bent on one thing only, making money for themselves.
Given a chance, he might have made them millions. Oh well.
