I would think they're too young to rely on as a number 2.
not sure about that Syd they are only the same age as others that are been promoted to the squad or buying arent they?
Goalkeepers are much different to outfield players with regards to age and being ready for the first team
Personally I think he needs a season at a premier league bottom feeder playing every game.
Or in the Liverpool first team.

yeah i get that but he might sit on a bench for 1 year before he's needed. How do you get ready for first team if your not allowed the experience, just seems odd to me but i accept your point
I think both the younger keepers will go out on loan this season, one first half while the other is 3rd choice and then other goes second half of the season. From what I've seen of both of them, neither is ready for first team football at champ level yet
Prepared to trust Nigel and the coaching staff on this one, as they see these young keepers all the time. Can't imagine they would be bringing in a back up to Marshall if they thought either of these guys was ready. If Marshall gets crocked (or doesn't regain his lost form) and we discover that close to the transfer deadline, we'd be in big trouble without having a reserve we are confident can come in and play every week in the first team.
While not personally seeing the game v SC Brags I understand that Manion wasn't as imperious as some on here would hope .. responsible for gifting a couple of goals.
We have all seen Marshall and his leaden feet .. so I would suggest getting in a goal keeper that can push for a start as opposed to just park his rear on the bench has to be a good thing.
We do seem very light up front .. I sincerely hope if money is to be invested then this is where it should be splashed. And before you all laught at money being invested .. don't think anyone saw the alleged sum of money for Burke being splashed out (That's if the 1.5 mil price tag is to be believed).

Conflicting reports .. some suggest the full 1.5m some suggest much lower .. the fact remains that coin was actually passed. Not much in comparison to the last few years granted however coin none the less.
