With a slightly and I mean slightly better haircut..I deliberately avoided the comparison, but I suppose if you were going to compare him to anybody from our past, it'd be Maguire.

For Chazz. Because <3.
1. De Wijs is a no nonsense centre half. He tackles hard, so he picks up a few bookings, but overall he is solid.
2. For some reason, he's a brilliant free kick taker. Scored a few in the youth set up for PSV.
3. He likes to run out from the back with the ball to start attacks when in possession and is less inclined to launch it. That being said, a decent pass accuracy means he can find his target if so inclined.
4. His name is pronounced 'dee wise'.
5. He made his Champion's League debut for PSV against Wolfsburg and did alright by most accounts.
Seems like a solid acquisition. There are a few of these types of transfers going; U23s in foreign 'big' teams who want to play more. And at 23, he has a decent amount of time to progress.

Pronounced ‘de vice’ according to RH.

De Wijs is having a medical tomorrow apprentely.
A couple of ton transfer feee whatever that means.
If it’s wheat, 200k or 2 million who knows.
Apologies if my term 'stay loyal' was misinterpreted. I accept that there are many who see boycotting as a means of staying loyal to the club and being in the best interests of the club long term. Just think that its also in the best interests of the club that when the Allams finally leave we are still in the championship, and to do that the manager and 11 players who turn out for Hull City each week next season will need some support on a Saturday afternoon. I also agree in general that the fans who go to games haven't turned on the team, with a few exceptions.
What you mean is the internet allows people with different opinions than yours to post, and you don’t like that.Another Allam legacy: loyal fan has turned on loyal fan, flaskers v shirters, West stand v North stand.
They make no acknowledgment or apology for this ugly rift.
Then again, they don't attend games so how would they know?
I am watching question time. How come Mansfield ended up with carolyn Radford and we got Ehaw. The "best run club" claim was very obviously a rather clever (for an imbecile) way of laughing in our faces. It was a piss take.

Jordy de Wijs is close to a move to Hull City, according to Sky sources
Hull City are working on a deal to sign PSV Eindhoven centre-back Jordy de Wijs, Sky Sports News understands.
The Tigers are hoping to have the 23-year-old as part of their pre-season training camp in Portugal next week.
De Wijs, a product of the PSV youth academy, spent most of last season on loan at Excelsior after finding first-team opportunities limited in Eindhoven.
With Michael Dawson returning to former club Nottingham Forest after his contract expired, the Dutch U21 international could fill the void left by the veteran defender. A clear priority for a Hull side who conceded 70 goals in the Championship last season.
Hull have been busy in their search for reinforcements as Sky Sports News understand they are also chasing Yeovil defender Tom James.
Well, he does have a remarkably thin head.
Great job by Lee D !!!That came out of the blue. ****ing hell good signing didn't expect that.
