So what is it, one month now until pre-season starts? (is it 1st July - correct me if I'm wrong).
Nige wants his squad pretty much in place for pre-season [HASHTAG]#guffaw[/HASHTAG]
There's another car crash coming just down the road, even worse than our previous ones. It isn't going to be pretty.
Tick tock ......

Remember what they said, 'the club will be run for the benefit of the shareholders' and this is what they are doing. 'Rape and pillage', 'cut and burn' - call it what you like but all the signs are not good and I don't have a positive feeling about next season at all!

Not City related but I found the last paragraph to be ****ing hilarious & one of the reasons why football is ****ed & I appear to hate it more & more each day.

Leicester are considering a bid for Aston Villa’s highly-rated midfielder Jack Grealish, Sky Sports News understands.

With Riyad Mahrez closing in on a £60m move to Manchester City, Leicester have the funds to strengthen their resources in midfield and believe the 22-year-old would be the perfect fit.

Sky Sports News also understands that both Arsenal and Manchester United have monitored Grealish's form in recent months.

Villa are keen to keep hold of the talented former England and Ireland U21 international but appreciate that may be impossible after their play-off final defeat confirmed another year in the Sky

Grealish has two years left on his contract, however, the club remains under pressure to balance the books.

If Grealish does leave Villa Park, we understand the club would be looking to recoup Around £40m

I agree, these prices are pathetic. how an earth can he be valued at 40m quid, hes an average championship player ffs. Mahrez is going for 60m and he won pfa premier league player of the year a couple seasons back. the worlds gone mad. what happened to the day you could pick up a decent championship striker for a few hundred grand from the coca cola fan prize fund :emoticon-0101-sadsm

25th June. My mistake. 3 weeks to go. [HASHTAG]#ticktock[/HASHTAG]

Interesting Brentford was not on the list.... Fancy them to go up next season...

I can see Brentford repeating what they did this year. Don't they tend to sell some of their better players then repeat? Plus, rumours abound regarding their manager.

Easy thing to say, but there should be a lot of strength from the 3 coming down and I'd imagine WBA and Stoke to be leading the way. Main question mark over WBA must rest with not only who they lose, but their new manager - is he right to lead them out of the Championship? Other than that, I see them, squad wise, as being potentially stronger than we were in 15/16.

You'd also expect Boro to be better. Pulis plus a decent squad, plus probably more investment from their ownership (the stick he seems to get is properly unbelievable - although it is isn;t always what it seems from afar). Unless FFP is breathing down their necks?

Villa, whatever state their in, should still mount some sort of top 6 challenge too.

As for us, not a popular view on here, but I think we'll finish circa 15th or 16th. Adkins will build a workmanlike and unspectacular team, but nevertheless a team that will grind out enough for comfortable safety.

There will be plenty of stronger teams than us this season. The first season back is the season to go up. We’ve missed the boat. A mid table finish is what I expect.

My concern is we are going to turn into an Ipswich like team and just get more **** and boring for the next 5 years.

Agree with all of that but, at the moment, the Ipswich model would suffice.
