Liverpool want to be careful he may stagnate in a crap Division, May become too easy for him. I think Liverpool’s love affair with Gerrard will be to their detriment to be honest he should be at the top end of the Championship playing every week.

If this turns out to be true then it is a backward step for Harry. The majority of games in the SPL are Div 1 level, the Championship is a far better league.

When does the window open now? I remember there being a vote for the FL clubs but everything online says it's only premier league clubs that are affected but the football league may decide to follow suit...

The new rules on weakened teams come in this season as well don't they? Whereby, any changes to the starting 11 from the previous week is defined as a weakened team.

It opened on May 7th, the EFL decided to adopt the same dates as the Premier League.

Those weakened team rules came in already, but only apply at the end of the season. It's to stop teams from resting players for the play-offs and potentially affecting other teams promotion/relegation.

“For any league match played on or after the fourth Thursday in March, any team sheet for a league game should include at least 10 outfield players who featured on the team sheet for the league match before.”

I only noticed this weakened team ruling earlier. The reference to team sheet includes subs so a team could still completely change their starting 11. You can only make 6 outfield changes to the match day squad so if those 6 start along with 4 subs from the previous game you can field a completely different line up but not a 'weakened side'.

I did and I was wron

I did and I was wrong (just). And I think we will be 'fighting' relegation next season
For what's its worth,I am definitely not being happy - clappy about this. I also think we might well be in a relegation struggle, especially if as seems likely the Allams don't move on for a while yet. Just feel the total negativity expressed by some undermines the manager, the players who remain and (if any of them bother with this sort of thing) is off putting to anyone we might be trying to bring in. So it's a self -fulfilling prophecy - the more negative the mindset, the more likely the outcome will be negative.

I'll come back on 31st August and see if my opinion is revised. Until then, adieu everybody. To all potential recruits, it's the best-run club in the football league and you should be biting your agents' hands off when they offer you this gig.

No ****er will sign for us if they read this thread and see we have fans so delusional that think there's a 10% chance of us staying up next season <laugh>

Not exactly conclusive...

Hull Transfers‏ @HullTransfers
Heard a whisper that City are weighing up a move for striker Clayton Donaldson. He’s 34 now and recently released by Sheffield United. Decent free option and goalscoring record though so makes sense

He'd propbably earn a better wage on the tills in Aldi, so let's hope it's true. Good signing for the money

Let's be honest. If they already are thinking of signing for us, considering the ****show we are, the rightly placed forum negativity isn't likely to change their mind, is it.
