If I worked for Hull City Tigers and someone offered me a viable alternative, I'd be off like a shot.
Surely clubs have key-man insurance policies on their players and the players themselves have short term & long term accident/injury insurance policies to cover most of the salaries & health costs. They'd be crazy not to.

Despite the trophy laden years he's had at Juve, Asamoah has humbly and respectfully opted to join a club elsewhere (CLUE : it's us).
He is not going for the money you understand, it's not a bigger European rival, he wants to play for the Best Run Club In Football ...... you just wait and see.

Nearly impossible for the players to get this type of insurance. Tried to get some for a Millwall player last year and trying now for a couple at Fleetwood. The costs are ridiculous due to the level of risk involved. Anyone outside the top two leagues has no chance even then very very few do.
Most just try and get their mortgages paid off and their pensions full as quick as possible and hope that will be enough.
If Adkins is so honest, would he mind telling us why, once again, we've waited until the very end of the player's deals to offer them a contract? It's a lie that even the stupidest of people can see through. We don't want to keep them, so these lame attempts at pandering to fans are falling on smarter ears than they're giving us credit for. If we wanted them, Abel and co would have been offered a deal in October. Moses I can understand, but even then it shouldn't be coming down to the final weeks.
