It would appear Clark will be added to the ever maturing list of players opting to not resign an offered contract. Dutch colleagues find it strange that with the wealth of academy talent locally Vitesse are pursuing an untested young talent from England coupled with the inherent compensation package. It is an irregular shift as its English teams that tend to scout the wealth of Dutch young talent on the back of the salary benefits in England far outweighing the Dutch leagues even comparing Eredivisie v 2nd Tier EFL.

That said the difference between the salaries in Eredivisie v Championship is obviously not a factor for Max if he chooses to pursue Vitesse's offer? It maybe purely down to personnel development only confirming what a sh*te situation the club currently resides

Standby with your tin hat for requests of proof and detailed accounts of your assumption of the **** terms offered haha

Well he has no proof, he's just presuming. I think Clark's agent hasnt helped the situation. Good luck to the lad, but he needs to remember he is still a young unproved player.

they could be offering more than we are, any proof ?

I guess the proof / facts can be taken as:
- the original contract offered back in Autumn hasn't budged (I think we can safely take that as fact from the snippets that have been said). That offer was before he completed a full season in the Championship
- he (and his agent) will know a) what the offer is from us, b) what the alternative offers are (be they from Forest, Wednesday, VA, and wherever that we don't know about). If he continues to decline the offer from us, then there's the proof that it's a really **** offer, as any other club would have to be offering more and also be willing to pay the compensation on top of their offer.
Add to that, the facts that he doesn't want to leave, that Nige has openly stated he wants to keep him, and that e:**** is a ****, we have pretty much all the proof / facts we need.
Allams are probably happy to see him go and to take whatever compensation they can get (up to a £1 million is apparently being quoted; can't quite see that, but could be say £1/2 million). Then replace him with a freebie or youth.
If he leaves then it is truly shocking.

That's the most likely scenario, but as we know agents are knobs as well....and let's say he's demanding an unreasonable amount for an unproven youngster, we keep hearing rumours of Forrest etc but if they are serious why hasn't he signed?

We should have offered an improved deal then the Aug offer, but nothing huge as he's still unproved and has shown he makes mistakes and gets beat alot..... But just so we are clear, ehab = Thundercunt

not shocking but confusing, I wish we knew the numbers so we could know if max is unrealistic, but at this point I'll assume he's not because ehabs a ****

A young player who is the same age as George Best when he won the European Cup and was voted European Player Of The Year.

Brilliant....and your point is? Max isn't George best, isn't going to win the European Cup and isn't player of the year! He has potential but on this seasons showing (his first as a pro) he is still unproven

He isn't young is the point. If he was going to be anything exceptional you would have thought he would have been given the opportunity to prove himself.

Ehab ****face, Feb ‘18.

“To spend on a further two strikers, what would that be? £5m, £10m? Would that be wise? To spend an extra £10m and to add £10m onto the selling price.

And also with where we are now, what would be the difference between us finishing seventh and 20th?

There's no difference for this season, so I want to be sensible and look to invest in the summer and see where we are at the end of the season and then we plan for next season”

When does Summer start?
