Wagon Wheels are hub cap size nowadays.Neither - both look minging.
Must be a generational thing, but why do people need to eat a 'meal' at a football match.
If you really must eat, then why not just have a Wagon Wheel, a bag of those 'orrible savoury biscuit things (Fish and Chips?) or a cup of Bovril?
Vern has Trebor Mints, and he sticks to the words of the song.bag of fruit pastilles is all ya need
As much as I have done it after racing to a game somewhere from work I do agree. Its getting a bit out of control now. Pie, Chips, Burger, Hot Dog or a wagon wheel. Stop dicking about with football!Neither - both look minging.

Steak and kidney pie, no effing chance nowadays. As much as I have done it after racing to a game somewhere from work I do agree. Its getting a bit out of control now. Pie, Chips, Burger, Hot Dog or a wagon wheel. Stop dicking about with football!

All about creating an experience now. You can't control how good or bad the football is going to be but you can make sure everything around it is attractive so people turn up regardless. Take the Dugout/Legends Lounge. Pretty decent in there now they've refurbed it with new TV's and a Pizza oven. Good business strategy. Cheap tickets get people in and get them drinking and eating stuff with huge markups. Away fans trying out the food specifically because the hype it gets on social media.
Hope not, I told the steward at the Newcastle game that he looked like a YTS kid, actually he looked about twelve, blank face ensued as I walked in.Where will it end? Sitting down to a three course meal brought to your seats on silver platters by the stewards?
I get what you are saying and perhaps I'm the wrong person to judge it, but do people really walk away from the football thinking - 'the game was ****e, we lost 3-0, but holistically, I loved the experience'?
Maybe they do and I'm out of touch.

Oddly yeah I have had that conversation. "game was crap but food was decent". Probably no more than a glancing conversation though. Its just trying to cater to families. When I spoke to the club about fitting their ticketing and point of sale stuff earlier in the year its astonishing how much its gone up by in the past few years
Its the one thing i think the amercians have better
Its a big day out
Pre events etc
Long gone are the days of just lads turning up for 90 minutes and back to pubs
Its good for the club engagement
I've always thought that would be better but I guess they are worried about herberts buying a beer and then leaving the stadium to drink on the way back into town which is illegal. When I've gone to NFL london or made the trip across its a completely different culture. But you do have a lot more time to sell. Football clubs here have to get it to you in such short windows its quite impressive how they do it. Spurs stay open after the game now to fans wanting a drink

I don't think the two need to be mutually exclusive though. I don't see an issue with improving the food if it doesn't impact the playing budget!I get what you are saying and perhaps I'm the wrong person to judge it, but do people really walk away from the football thinking - 'the game was ****e, we lost 3-0, but holistically, I loved the experience'?

That said, give me a chicken balti pie over the options in the tweet any day.
