Not really relevant to be honest, some don't observe Ramadan at all, many observe it different ways to just fasting.

There would seem to be something in this story but I think it would be extremely naïve to believe the papers or news sources who are simply speculating.

Something is awry like, can't believe he's playing the 'good muslim' card after his frequent trips to aspers. Sounds like he's angling for a move away.

Just further guess work/speculation and stirring up a bit interest. For me there is no drama here until we get some official comment from either side. All we're getting is unsubstantiated ****e from the news sources. It'll all be resolved pretty soon. If I was betting, I'd bet on him remaining at Newcastle.

That will be all we get from them until someone walks in or out of the door. NUFC seem pretty good at keeping things hush hush these days. Makes a change from the Shephard era.

Surely we cannot avoid to lose Cisse now? It would mean we would have to buy THREE strikers and we can't seem to be arsed to buy the two required at the moment!

I think this may have been blown way out of proportion. If it is true next season things are looking pretty bleak I have to say.

I don't think it's a coincidence that Kinnear comes in and the likes of Cabaye and Cisse are being linked with moves away. I get the impression something is not quite right behind the scenes. Hope I'm wrong

To be fair to JFK, you cant blame him for Cisse being a p****.

As for Cabaye, he wanted to be away last summer, and having to stay was one of the reasons he got depressed. Earlier this summer, before JFK arrived he couldn't have made it more clear that he would like to play for Man U.

Here's my take as an outsider. I've a lot of Muslim friends having travelled to Egypt frequently over the years and there are very few, no matter how devout, who would take Cisse's line. Most tend to pick and choose the 'rules' from the Qu'ran that suit them as and when. If they followed every rule to the letter they'd all beat their wives (yes the Suras in the Qu'ran tell you to do this, and how to do it effectively) and kill all non-believers. As we know most modern Muslims don't do that sort of thing.

As for loaning money without interest, well of course they don't. It's topped up with 'charitable donations' aka interest. Hypocrisy abounds in the Muslim faith, and for that matter, most faiths. Cisse's regular attendance at Aspers has been mentioned by some but I don't know if this is true.

But as you've all gathered Cisse is clearly engineering a move away.

Good luck for this season, lads. Looks like an exciting season ahead. <ok>

Listen to the Muslim guy in this BBC report from last year.

If what he's saying about being a Muslim and not being able to "make money from money" is essential to their faith, why do any Muslim's play in the Barclays Premier League, or for that matter, wear a Newcastle United shirt with 'Virgin Money' written on it? <doh>

This whole thing is so far past utter ******ation it beggars belief.

It's not often that such hypocrisy stirs me up, but when it's as poorly thought out, executed and now ignored by the media, it leaves me bewildered.

What bewilders me more is how any Christians or Catholics are playing on a Sunday.

Religion is an era, an age in our time. Eventually we'll grow out of it.

It's the 18th June, middle of a heatwave and we shouldn't be worried and getting worked up over the likes of Cisse.

No doubt about it he is being hypocritical, but, I don't think it bothers him for one iota.
Why would it, he can go and ply his trade elsewhere and get paid quite handsomely.

Like most footballers he s in a privileged position and closeted from our world.

We pay hard earned money to pay his wages - he should remember that.

If the majority of fans, not just ours, behaved in this way, you would be sacked from your job.

If he does want to leave, he should have the b**** to ask for a transfer and forgo his cut of any transfer fee.
What are the chances of that happening : NIL

If he does that, I'll change my mind, and believe he does have principles after all, until then he just being a hypocrite.

I think most people have already grown out of it, the worrying thing is that the devious ****s are forever using it as a weapon to engineer things the way they want them.

Quite sickening really... all these fakes hiding behind their religion and beliefs. We can see what a complete pile of ****e this whole thing is, yet for some reason tolerate it?

    Amazing really.

He clearly just wants out. I fear this unrest may just be the tip of the iceberg. From the outside looking in morale seems pretty low and if that manifests itself on the pitch, as it did last season, we are in for another tough campaign.

I agree. I find it quite staggering that not one 'reputable' media outlet has said "this row continues, despite the fact Cisse wore Virgin Money on his shirt less than three months ago...."

That it's more important for the "press" to report on what they hope could be an exodus at SJP than to try and establish facts among a sea of blatant bullsh!t is fcking intolerable.

If Religion is being abused, then freedom of speech is being equally abused.

Personally I would just keep fineing Papiss week after week for refusing to wear the shirt. He gains nothing from wearing a branded shirt and as everyone knows we were sponsored by a bank for the last few years and the league has been for ages.

IMO he's angeling for a move away and trying to keep his reputation intact in the process, Colo for example had to give in because his reasoning for a move was farcical and the club stood firm. We have said time and time again we have no need to sell unless we get massive offers in and after last seasons showing Cisse is not going to be sold for a profit... Therefore not sold.

Ship him off to Europe or tell him to snap out of it and pull on the shirt and stop being a moaney little bitch!

If we go into next season without reinforcements, especially in attacking areas of the team - we are in for another **** season. If we start badly and it continues to Sunderland away and we get beat in the manner at home last season Pardew will be sacked then fat **** Joe or another bottom feeder will slide in. We really are an embarassment of a football club. Just when we look like getting back to normal we end up reeking of old tampons again.

You see people saying 'Get rid of him..' need to think logically as we would then need three strikers and we can't seem arsed to get the two required atm!
