I did join CI, but i forgot my password. They have a "Forgot your password" thing but it doesn't work.
I once read that there's a few Eastern Europeans who came here to sponge off our benefit system and watch city whilst they're over here who use CI so you may be right.

Going on his footnote shopping list we are contemporaries, and are both in total agreement about the hijacking of what was a very cool transition period of Mod-life (for those that didn't fancy the metamorphosis of narcissus-type hippydom), by immitators and fashion sheep.
Skins didn't last too long, perhaps a year from '69/'70. In quick succession, Suedes, Brollies - an altogether more rounded and gentler version of Skinheads (in Hull, anyway) appeared - and were probably the last of the original sharp tribe.
All 'Skinheads' following were/are derivative, especially the so-called 'revivalists', from which the Skinhead cult is now indelibly stained (although there's a massive distiction between OI! and Two-Tone).
The Two Tone lads were very near to the original version - they're alright - after all, immitation is supposedly the sincerest form of flattery.
However, those in ****ing ugly up-to-the-knee DM's, bleached jeans and hanging-loose braces have twisted the whole concept of Skins - it certainly was not about racism.
Perhaps it was the times that skewed it all? Mike Leigh's 'Meantime' sums up the attitude better than anything else I've seen - set in a dismal 80's housing estate - really depressing.
