Take my word for it mate it's just as bad as you remember.
Yeah mince pies are just as bad although at least they've got the pastry to disguise the horror within.
We once has a new litter of kittens at Christmas and they were great fun chasing each other up and down the tree, hiding in the presents, falling asleep in front of the fire.
It was idyllic under we started to notice an increasingly disgusting smell which I eventually tracked down to the kitten shyte in the soil of the Christmas tree. It had roots, which we watered, so the tree was drawing it up and sending the stench out of the needles.
I had to bin the lot and the kittens didn't get their mittens.
A real mans pudding and pieTake my word for it mate it's just as bad as you remember.

Having a cream pie togetherFair play if you've got the stones to eat them and claim to enjoy it then I'd want you beside me in the trenches.

Sounds idyllic Smug, I know you will be missing your family, but that sounds like a decent second prize. Enjoy it, take care and stay safeThe film crew we had here left this morning and it was sad because they'd been a great bunch of hard working people.
We were feeling a bit down but went into the village shop and were invited to the Christmas Eve service with mulled wine in the square beforehand. It's for the whole village and we're the only 'outsiders' so it's great to know the Christmas spirit is alive in our isolated spot in the mountains.

Christmas pudding with loads of brandy butter is absolutely the very essence of Christmas. Usually eaten at least 3 hours after the main course though! What's your opinion on Christmas pudding? For me it's one the rankest things I've ever tried but half my family love it.
I'll try it every five years or so in case my palate has changed or whatever but nah that stuff is inedible.
