Not a lover of Xmas me.. Mrs is. Totally opposite to me, loves to make xmas wreaths etc and wasting her money on sending xmas cards to folk she sees every day. Its to much money orientated these days. Putting decorations up 1st week in November is a farce (current circs excluded)takes the gloss off of it all. Starts too early.

She makes my Xmas dinner when I sit back supping away, spose thats a plus. But tell her there's no need for it. If she didn't it wouldnt bother me

I show goodwill to men all year round and do not need xmas to demonstrate this

Sending Xmas cards to people just because you have received one from them! And yes it happens. Is pretty crap

When I was a kid I used to get a tangerine and a game of solitaire in my stocking, never wanted much, and appreciated what little I got. Very Happy Times. No want want want, no spend spend spend.

Don,t get me wrong, I dont begrudge people for lapping it all up, especially those with young families. Its great to see the kids faces when opening their pressies..

Can't stand al the hype and no longer believe in Father Christmas at least 10 years ago.

Everyone to their own

Our lass is the same she loves all the euphoria of Christmas I'm not bothered, she makes all her own stuff and send Christmas cards all over the place. Not unusual you may say but after sending cards she then makes truffles, Christmas cakes and other things then boxes them and sends them separate, OK you might say but considering we live in Barnsley and she's Welsh with a daughter in Germany it costs a fortune sending all over the fecking place and will she feck put the cards that she sent a week earlier with the packages, they have to go separate

Can understand sending cards to people that live afar. But not those you see every day. Is this a woman thing ? or do any red hotted males on this forum indulge in such a nonsense??!! <party>:emoticon-0182-poolp:emoticon-0182-poolp

To be honest, if you believed in Father Christmas right up until 10 years ago, what was it that brought this unwelcome truth in to your life? <cracker>

Our Christmas tree, now in its 26th year. Cost £119.99 and only got it because of a shortage of real trees that year had pushed the cost of our usual 8ft Nordman Fir from £25 up to £40 and I objected to paying that much for a tree when I couldn't even find a decent one anywhere.

Long dark patch on the floor consists of two Mini Schnauzers guarding me from the Christmas tree!

... there, I've said it.

I was hoping that someone would mention it but nowt so far and Mrs Smug has already gone Christmas OTT.

The tree is up, all the lights and the place looks wonderful.

I'll post a few more photos when I can focus, and hope that everyone will post their own.

It's a time when everyone can forget any differences, celebrate the season and feel like we're all part of something ...

... whatever we believe.

A Prince and Ella (frozen) fighting about a star for the tree

I know that dress, she's a bit fond of Frozen

Here's our tree, my wife's gone for a Scandi style apparently, personally I like the cheesy classic look but it's nice

Tell me about it, I didn't like it the first time and it wasn't improved by the fiftieth viewing. She does love them but she's more into Tangled, "look daddy I've drawn Rapunzel" "very good darling" "daddy this banana looks like Rapunzel's hair "er yeah ok"

It was the g'daughter birthday during the first lockdown, a Frozen, party was planned, there are kids party organisers who do it... unfortunately it did not happen.

Belle (beauty and the beast) is her other alta ego atm. But anything to do with unicorn ponies, faries and glitter girls... I blame netflix...paw patrol especially with powers.
Her brother is getting into gaming with his dad Zelda

You don't have to tell me who Belle is mate, I'm an expert these days. I know what they're all called, what they wear, what their eye colours are...they love their princesses don't they haha
