My boy is being really creative at the minute. Last weekend he made his own Lego set from various pieces including writing out two books of instructions to go with it, and right now he's drawing his own spot the difference pictures to ask his mum to do.

Wanna keep encouraging this and gonna buy some stuff to this effect for Christmas, any suggestions?

Electronics is something worth considering. About 6/7 years ago we got a class of 8 year olds to build radio kits. Ones with no soldering required. They absolutely loved it. Took a couple of weeks and at the end of it they had something they could keep and use.
