It must hurt him to watch us do well. I have to say he was a top class player who I loved watching over the years. He also gave me one of my favourite moments in going to the games over the years. Just happens to be the best game I've ever been to! 4-2 Sheff Wed in the rain. I think it was a Monday? Cole 2, Mathie wonder goal and another KK special plucked from obscurity Allen getting the third. Geordie boy Andy Sinton got both of theirs. Waddle was also in their line up and had sauntered over to the Milburn Paddock where I was to take a throw. In true vocal Newcastle fashion at the time, the fans weren't giving him the lickings of a dog and chanting allsorts. He simply turned and waved his fingers like the conductor of an orchestra. We stopped and gave him a massive cheer for entering into the banter.

Still a biased horrible Mackem now though

He was popular enough when he was here, but as you say, he's still a biased horrible Mackem now.

At least you get a mackem who plays well for you. We get a fat geordie bastard manager who was fcking useless.

This was worse than some of the Bruce teams performances imo <laugh> and that's saying something.

We looked like complete rank amateurs today and it was embarrassing at times. <somersault>

Don't know but by all accounts Cattermole has left a big hole in their midfield with only Gardner, Colback, Vaughan to fill the hole. If we can get something tomorrow and get our tails up we'll be well set for the big one.

He'll be a big miss for them. Hate to say it but he looked canny for them at SJP last season. I know it's only three points, but every other game pales into insignificance compared to games against those horrible creatures.

I hope we get some free kicks around the box. Mignolet seems a decent keeper but I'm not sure he has a clue about setting up walls and making sure he's sighted on free kicks. First we have to try and find a way past Man U who will be like a bear with a sore head after last week and all their rivals winning well yesterday. I have a feeling we'll have our work cut out today! RVP in ridiculous form too.

Yes he has the old Sunderland ship badge tattooed on his arm and legend has it that he scored in his last home game for newcastle vs spurs (who he joined) rolled up his shirt pointed at the badge and made like an aeroplane. Not sure how true that is mind you.

Doubt it, a thing like that would have gone down in infamy. Like Lee Clark when he wore that shirt

Absolute load of bollocks that story. We'd have heard about it forever and a day. You gotta love Clarkie. He just couldn't deal with being around the unwashed!
