For the foreign, young and people of basic good taste 'Benny' is a reference to a dire, cheaply made, amateurish, but long running UK soap opera set in a Midlands hotel called Crossroads. Thankfully defunct for many years. Benny was a mentally ******ed character who always wore a woolly hat. He actually looked a bit like a pale Fernandes.

Safe to assume that those people saying this are of a certain generation (probably mine) and don't mean it as a compliment. But as they are people who use Twitter, who cares?

Agree i don't believe that the name Benny meant anything else, however i also don't think Benny was 'mentally ******ed', i thought the character was just a bit slow making decisions.

I can never post pictures as i don't know how. Overtime i try it doesn't seem to work.
However very good chaps, i just spat my tea out!

Did you not post a thread yesterday that had SLF explaining that we moved 16 players out and 14 in? We now expect this almost completely new group of players to somehow miraculously tear up this league having hardly played together.

Whilst I didn't agree with the Ramsey appointment but having been given the role I see no point in putting him down or calling for him to be sacked etc at this point in time. It is a new team & one that he's put together with Sir Les & will take a time to gel &/or the best team/formation to be worked out. So think should be given a fair chance & wait until Jan & see how things are looking & the way the team is playing at that stage of the season.

I hope we don't become like the Liverpool fans. They've started a fund page trying to raise the £7m compensation needed to sack Brendan Rodgers :emoticon-0102-bigsm

It would have been interesting for CR to have been given the same to spend as both Hughes and Redknapp were given. I suspect that Sherwood turned the job down when he was told there would be ferk all money to use to replace an ageing / out of contract squad. I too cant wait to see us playing attractive football again, perhaps this will be achieved once Fer, Sandro, Ale return and the whole team has another dozen games under their belts. I really think at the moment we are missing a player that can link the midfield to Charlie, if we can get that bit right we will be flying. Henry is the weak link in midfield, how that fella is getting game time amazes me!
In CR we have a coach who can hopefully turn this group of players with "potential" and "something to prove" into a team that can both entertain us and help us forget the past three years?
