All good points and I would agree with what you say but I still think with the squad we have we should be doing much better than we are. Weather it's a moral thing or tactical thing, there is something amiss. (in my humble opinion) If soldiers don't believe in their generals they are far less effective. (to keep with my original analogy)
There were enough complaints after the 4-3 win to suggest that, in Ramsey's case, attack isn't the best form of defence. I think he deserves a sainthood for being magnanimous in the face of the mixed messages from the board and fans (build for the future but make sure it's hugely entertaining without risking mistakes at the back but remembering to win, home and away, at all costs).
chris i have compained tyrelessly to get you the sack,and now it had happened i deliver you this message football management is one very strange thing a man can have all the credentials then blow out just look at bobby charlton,bobby moore,ray wilkins,so go in peace young man and if you trully want management start right at the bottom and slowly learn your craft,jumping right in the middle of a prem saeason,is hardly an easy start,you keep your chin up and god bless you,and you do have one wonderfull quality you are a gentle sort of a bloke, and i can only hope that you work your way right back up to the top,but im 61 years of age i cant wait for you to take us down division after division whilst you learn your craft,
