I know that someone said 'no ice lollies' but these weren't 'ice lollies' - they were 'ice' - they were fecking lovely when I was a bairn, and should be included in any top 10 :emoticon-0115-inlov

Had one of these a couple of weeks ago, bloody lovely.
Very bananary...
Is that a word....bananary?

It's ice cream, not an iced lolly.

I am chucking the ever available ice pops.

In my younger days I would always run the great north run. Remember a shopkeeper on route with a trolley full of them, dishing them out to runners as we past. Just what I needed.

Always been a fan of store branded Cornettos, nothing beats a toffee chocolate one

I just love an old fashioned vanilla scoop. None of this mr whippy ****e. Asda used to occasionally sell a tub of vanilla haagen dazs for 2.50 i used to buy them out.

Weirdest combination I ever had was parma violet and irn bru from a dairy near Annan a few years back. Was actually really nice.

As for ice lollies I'm not a huge fan unless it's an orange calippo. I bloody love them but has to be by the pool or on the beach abroad in 30°+ heat.

Notriannies in High street west was an event , post war in the old shop with its Pullman style cubicles ,the smell of real coffee beans perculating. The iced drink special was just that, a tall glass and spoon with ice cream over cream soda, plus a flake and monkeys blood, long before the Bis Bar in Park Lane became the flagship. Now its Lidl choc ices , 2.50 for a pack of twelve , it just aint the same.
Dimambros in Houghton was the same, I can smell it now, roasting coffee and cigarette smoke mixed, used to love the 'ice cream float' with the long handled spoon. Happy memories of childhood.

We building up to an ice-cream vote?

Cos it’s a Mars Ice-Cream v Magnum final.

With an honourable mention to them popping candy Crunchie ones which are magnificent.
Magnum for the win! Mega
