Many losing bets can be winning bets with a little bit of nous and foresight.
But you're right, sparkey will lose his money and so will 20/20 as the greed of the gambler knows no bounds.

Took out a couple of punts on New Year's day when we'd just been hammered 6-1 at QPR and were lying 12th in the table.
£30 @7/1 on finishing top 6 has just got me 240 quid in the bin thank you very much.
£10 @ 33/1 on promotion has a cash out value of £48 at the mo and a return of £340 should it happen. Am I being greedy hanging on?
